Oppose the Allied landings at Mindoro. The IJA didn't put a fight there though so the Allies have already advanced inland so the bombing was negligible. Besides, with such a small force it won't have much effect compared to Allied shellings who utilized their BBs to good effect. The consistent harassment of Allied planes made it worse for the IJN which is why most of the ships returned to port with some form of damage.
It was still a brilliant move though considering they had to run through numerous defensive gauntlets and actually managed to shell the beachhead even only for 20 minutes.
