Do I understand the skill correctly that she can block only one enemy, but would still attack 2 additional enemies in a certain range? If so, that might actually be a huge improvement. What always bugged me about Samurai is that their whole class thing is supposed to be that they can attack multiple foes, but they just die if they block anything medium to large sized. And why would I need a 26 cost unit that kills goblins? I mean, I guess they would be a lot better once you put enough levels into them, but basically any unit becomes good once it's AW lvl 90, so that doesn't say much.

When you say ASAP, that implies mat/time - 1-7-3 is best for that.
For me, Holly's CQ gets efficient mat/food but that's not exactly available for everyone. I treat 1-8-8 as a good baseline but you can put that chart together from the wiki.

Things I realized in Girl's Kingdom:
-You have something like battle points. This goes up or down depending on you win/lose ratio.
-Defense wins don't calculate into it.
-When you win, your points go up by:
1 Star = 10
2 Star = unknown(Most likely 50)
3 Star = 100
-When you lose, it drops by 50.
I assume it's this BP, that determines who you battle in Versus.

I just did it with this team and I did it very badly, prince went down first and touched nothing just used him for his team boost skill, then stupidly put mortimer down and dorca who then had to heal the liches attacks, putting down julian and katie infront of the prince with no healer would be a far better idea.
The 3 archers were not placed till after mortimer was attacking the lich which is super important to do with liches.
The point is you have a huge amount of time and unit points so leave the lich till it rounds the corner.

Yeah don't spend any resumes since they are just the same chance that you get for free, but cost 10 stones. Get full unlocks for all buildings, with resource one first and put mages (int) in it for food. After that you can get aprons if you want more food or can spend 50 for another party slot for more rounds in battlefield which can be nice.
You really only want to spend stones on resumes if you have most things bought and you have a decent amount that you can spend with a mailbox up and just hope you get lucky.

Higher the * level the more stats they have, saying that 1-3 are close stat wise. 4* star starts getting a little bonus over the previous levels, specially something like 1*. 5* is a large difference in not only just normal stats but they get an extra 9 level cap so max lvl 99 instead of 90.
For most part wouldn't worry about grinding out for higher stuff, if you get them you can level them slowly (with help of exp daily as well) and eventually switch them into your main team.
