The thing in OP seems to be anteater-like but is also not even an anteater. Its nose isn't the same, and it doesn't have a big tail. It could be just a really, really badly drawn anteater, but the point is its pattern is reminiscent of Doremy's and it's attacking someone while they sleep. I find it creepy too. Especially when people make those threads with the voice CDs that have sounds of someone "cleaning your ear". The scratching noises on those make me cringe. I was already just bothered by the idea of them sticking the needle part in too far before the idea that it makes a noise was put into my ears.
I've also never thought about the weirdness of animal people using things like that, though partially because I assume they wouldn't need it since their ears are huge and animals basically never need it anyway. Humans just mostly do it out of bad habit.
