Let me explain:
- You offer invites on /jp/
- An anon posts their email (let's say [email protected])
- You send an invite to [email protected]
- Some dingus reports that email, and both of you get banned
Consider the alternative:
- You offer invites on /jp/
- An anon posts their email (let's say [email protected]), and you SEND AN EMAIL saying "please send me a different email address to invite you with"
- They reply with another email (let's say [email protected])
- You send an invite to [email protected], completely unknown to anyone else other than you two
- Some dingus reports [email protected] (because that was the one posted on /jp/, and they think that the invite was sent to that email)
- However, there is no account associated with [email protected], because the invite was sent to [email protected], and NOBODY will trace you back to the post on /jp/, because you posted anonymously, and nobody will find the guy you sent the invite to, because you guys actually exchanged a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT email address.
This basically acts as a "proxy", letting you bypass 100% the people who report emails here.
