Japanese is derived from Chinese
They can't pronounce their "r's"
Explain this!
>>14197675
ANGER is a FIRE-y emotion.
>>14197675
It was loaned from the "j"-like pronunciation of Mandarin "R", or from varieties of Middle Chinese that had "n" in that place.
>>14198035
No Japanese sounds were borrowed from Mandarin. Mandarin is a bastardized language pigeon of Manchu and Chinese, rather than a pure Chinese language. The Japanese onyomi come from the languages of different ancient Chinese dynasties such as Wu, Tang, Han. Nothing from the Qing at all.
I bought a Japanese laptop and changed the language to English but kept the keyboard in the Japanese configuration. It works well but sometimes it goes to US configuration even if I uninstalled it. Anyone have any idea of why this happens and how can I avoid/fix it?
More importantly is this the OS-tan thread?
>>14179517
Sure! there is no other thread is there? You can make it a moe mascot thread if you want.
I have the same problem, OP.
Which version of Windows are you on?
I'm using Windows 7 still.

ALL MY HEART
I do not get it. I fail to understand where the fun comes from when playing a visual novel. I don't understand why am I just reading text on a screen. If the author wanted to release his art, couldn't he have done it in a book or an enovel. I know some visual novel games like phoenix wright if that is a visual novel have some gameplay. But why is something like this have none.
Because they want a multi media experience, they just don't have enough budget to do a full multi media experience.
>>14185963
sounds and images that accompany a story. It's a more cinematic medium than a book, yet more budget-achievable for an independent or small developer.
What's there not to understand? are you just a retard OP?
>>14185968
>are you just a retard OP?
Thats rude. No I did not understand, why else would I ask.
I was curious about the game/novel "When they cry" because I keep seeing the characters posted here on /jp/ mainly rika and lambadelta. So I thought okay I guess I will check this out and maybe I will like it like touhou. I did not even understand, the lack of gameplay. It seemed very alien to me.
This is why I was asking. And now thanks to the first two comments I now understand.
Please tell me this is a male.
>>14189844
this is a male.
>>14189844
Why? Do you want to fuck afemboy or something?
Would you send death threats to Zun if one of the girls got a romance interest in the touhou manga?? How would you feel?
>>14183928
Why don't you go back to your idol threads with your wota mentality, fuckface?
>>14183928
female romance interest?
sure
>>14183928
>Would you send death threats to Zun if one of the girls got a romance interest in the touhou manga??
Yes.
>How would you feel?
I'd be completely fine with it.

Yeah, I'll add that to the OP next time.
I bought these and SUBMARINER from Toranoana. It will probably take a few weeks to receive these.

Do they pay you for shitposting?
Feel free to discuss related subjects, like the cars themselves and sister groups.
I started watching Initial D yesterday, and now I want a Toyota Levin or Trueno.
Also 7D2 > T8.
I approve of this thread. Let's separate ourselves from the shitpost circlejerk that is /akbg/.

Previous thread: >>13310830
This thread is for the discussion of untranslated Japanese visual novels.
What are you playing? What are you looking forward to? What have you finished? You know how it goes.
After all the bitching about 帝都飛天大作戦 not being released for months, not a single person posted an impression on these threads yet.
Even EGS and vndb have a small amount of votes.
Anyone here finished it?
>>13339796
Thanks for link. Was planning to play it too, but remembered it had very troublesome protection.
>>13344730
Generally little to no discussion means there was nothing remarkable in it, but I haven't played the game itself so take it with a grain of salt.
Where do you post from /jp/?
Is it comfy?
