Never seen this thread before might be interesting.
So, what makes your art different anons?
Alright I'm gonna get all touchy feely on you nosefriend.
Commercially, as a beginner, probably nothing sets me apart, nothing stylistic or technical. I'm just chugging along with basic exercises and occasional little goof offs where I try to apply what I've learned. I hope that in the way I'll find my own language, but for now, it's not anything original at best, or not anything decent at worst.
But for me, it's just mine and I own it. So it'll always be different in my eyes simply because it came for me. Just like baby garbles and gibberish sound are recognizable to nobody but the parents, my art is different cause it's mine and I've nurtured it to where it is now and want to nurture it into something successful and unique.
So the short answer is, for now, it's only different to me, and I hope to develop it to the point where it's different for other people too.
So excuse the gooey bullshit, but I'm feeling good today.

I was one of those weird kids that drew hundreds of faces and weird shit on my notebook and spent all my free time doing that too since I was a little kid
Never took art classes in school, spent all my time focusing on muh style and now it's very distinct and unique. I understand my fundamentals but didn't spend too much time on them (going to go back and solidify my shit though) and focused on drawing from imagination and learned how to make everything look right from observation of others and the world and through experience correcting mistakes

you can rest assured on the most degenerate things can be grasped from seeing his art, after this is someone who solely focus on muh styles and neglected the fundamentals

God I still hate you so much. This doesn't need your name on it, faggot.
What sets my art apart, and sets everyone apart is experiences. No one will ever experience life exactly the same way you will, and when someone looks at my art, they see life through my filter, how I express what I witness, feel, etc.
I mean it doesn't work so much with technically unskilled artists but even then you still get a glimpse into who they are as a person in that moment. Maybe one moment they're very weak, one moment they're confident, happy, and experiencing the best time in their life, others they're full of anger, etc. and everyone will experience all these emotions, experiences, everything in a unique way,
