One time I was watching a stream on picarto. it was a futa MLP character, I'm not a fan of pony shit but thats not what got me to watch it. What got me was they were playing the lion king in fucking the corner of the stream. It was the most bizarre thing. People weren't even talking about art, or MLP, they were talking about the movie and singing along to hakunamattata. I didn't think you could legally do shit like that in a stream either, especially one gather about 1k viewers late at night, so who knows how many earlier on in the day. So I stayed and watched lion king in the corner of the screen while some person I didn't know drew pony futa
so heres a tip; if your out for viewers, stream Disney movies. it worked for this person

I was watching a similar stream a few years ago, but instead of lion king they were showing Bob Ross videos on the right half of their monitor. I don't recall how many people were watching, it must have been quite a lot but I'm sure most of the viewers were just lurkers like myself.

I just put the finishing touches on my Twitch stream overlay last night. It's still kinda jank but it's serviceable. My friend and I are testing out the donation thing right now, I'm pretty fuggin excited. I might be able to launch this weekend.
I've only gotten viewers when I when doing requests. It seems if you're not on a consistent schedule for 5+ months and not a girl you won't get any views. At least for twitch. As of now i'm trying to befriend the larger streamers and hopefully they're host me one day, lol.
you wouldnt have problems getting viewers if you actually know how to draw.

This isn't true on twitch tho, the top streams are more personalities than abilities. You really don't know what you're talking about.
I tried streaming for the experience, it's not bad really.
The problem with Picarto though is that the porn channels is literally the only place where people go.
As an exemple, imagine a total of 50 peoples (streamers and viewers) in the regular channel for 500 in the porn channels.
It's kinda sad.

I'm not ready to start giving it out yet, and I'm not going to be "begging" for money, but the tip thing is practically built in and takes like 5 minutes to set up so I did. I'm doing this because several of my commissioners asked me to do sketch commission and donation streams anyway so I kinda need it. I didn't call any attention to it though, the link to donate isn't flashing and scrolling across the screen and popping up in the chat to remind you to donate every ten seconds or something, but it'll be there in the corner for anyone who feels like sending something in, or like I said when I do an event. You can use them for a lot besides donations you know, you can make it so people can buy shirts and stuff or do a charity event where it's set to go directly to the charity instead of you with the flick of a switch. There's really no reason for anyone to set up a stream without it.

Twitch Attracts way more viewers
if you are a girl and willing to talk.
reason is twitch's user is at least 10,000 more than who uses picarto.
along side of that
Picarto has limited viewer
same person goes to same person's stream every time.
unless you are uber famous than the person will only pop up while that famous person is drawing.
if you want attention go to twitch,
if you want people do judge your drawing based on skill go to picarto.
if you are drawing porn
picarto is only option.

some times doing porn attracts less people for me, not sure why ..

Another problem I noticed with Picarto while I've been setting all this stuff up is that it has no support. All the plugins and broadcasters and everything you'd want to have a successful stream don't ever list Picarto as an option. Sure you can tie it in manually, but if you're using Twitch, a lot of them have one and done installation buttons. They even have it for Youtube gaming which is new as hell. Poor redheaded Picarto.
