Any good tutorials that are straighforward about rendering? I bought this book and god damn this shit is not sinking in. There's all these long winded statements. I need something concise.

yeah you're kinda right it's too much blah blah blah sometimes, maybe someone knows of a video tutorial or book on cgpeers? I was interested in learning to draw/render motorcycles and machinery.
Scott Robertson's books make my eyes glaze over at record speed, even if they might be good.

As rendering is basically light and form Fundamentals of Lighting
with Sam Nielson on schoolism is pretty good.
