Like what are you even asking anon, theres a video showing exactly what he does, what more do you need?
>>
>>2563639

He uses the Kinkade technique, it's only taught at the N. Bradley Atelier. They accept 1 apprentice every 5 years though so good luck getting in.

Being good.

If you're just asking about his layer set up it's usually:

>~50% Gray as base
>multiply layer to establish values
>normal layer for highs
>soft light/color layers for base colors
>normal layer to blend

He also uses adjustment layers pretty often for color correction and will throw in additional multiply layers to push values around. Look up his "bog witch" gumroad tutorial, its invaluable. Not only for the process but he talks a lot about the industry and being an artist in general.

...painting? What are you asking? Watch the video

I actually just bought all of Dave's videos, if you want to see how he paints from black and white to color, get Bogwitch Part 2.

Useless information seeing as no one in this thread has the prerequisite expearence to actually make use of that.

He's not doing anything special, what this guy >>2563761 said. His work looks good not because of some tricks but because his fundamentals are good and he knows how to render and light stuff based on his years of practice.

Go study and stop looking for tutes to polish your turds.
