What ever you want draw (anime or etc)draw real person first, that's a great practice, drawing from life or photo ref what ever something(but before draw a box or non human thing first for month)
There are many resource you can learn art I recommend vilppu if you're on self learning

It doesn't matter if I believe you or not. (You always learn). There are no prodigies in art, only hard work. Example: You don't learn how to draw a photo realistic human from imagination without first having studied the anatomy or how the light falls. The thing is that some just done those things naturally in their past while others needs to make a conscious choice to do so.
People who believe in talent or care about time spend learning the craft are usually the ones who are not going to make it. It's a great attention tool on the gullible though. You could easily get stuck at the point you are now like so many before you if you start believing in that shit.

I'm still a beginner myself but I'd recommend to iterate A LOT. Don't try to do pretty drawings (or not too much at least), for example if you feel like you're having troubles with something then draw it over and over again while changing something every time until you start drawing things you start liking.
Of course as others said you should study properly too. I recommend 'Hampton - Figure Drawing'.
