I will be observing this thread, but I am afraid that you are in hard spot right now. Eyes indeed seem too small to rest of the face proportions . Correcting this would be hard with watercolor only, because you are already painting relatively dark and can only go lighter.
Maybe food for thought - leave eyes and redraw rest of the head proportions scaling them to eyes, the rest that will be left outside of it try blending into some fancy background.
It's just wild idea. Remember also that I'm total n00b that hasn't worked with watercolors.

You've kinda fucked up.
You laid down too strong of a base color. Now, you're going to have some difficulty with layering shadows over that. You are likely going to end up disturbing the color underneath.
In the future, I suggest painting the face and its shadows with wet on wet, leaving some white spots for interest, then filling in the hair.
Also, /ic/ doesn't know shit about watercolors.

Wetcanvas has a big watercolor community. I would go there for watercolor specific advice.
Blogs like muddy colors, and gurney journey are good supplements.

I'm not done anon. The right side will fade into black and then I'm gluing burnt and torn book pages in the background surrounding the face. Look at the reference as well
destroy it an try again. watercolors are light to dark. plot your shadow shapes first and indicate them lightly and work around from there. It's obvious you can't draw well enough to follow this advice anyways.

Well one day I was really broke and I ran out of flow-aid and my paint was too thick but I needed to get this painting done like the next day. I didn't want to just put water in the paint because I didn't want to dilute it and make more transparent, so I experimented a bit and eventually tried ejaculating into a small plastic cup and then mixed acrylic paint in there. It worked, oddly enough. So I just started ejaculating into my old flow aid bottle and I use that. Saves money. I've never told anyone IRL about it though.
