I love this guy's work, it's a big inspiration. My favorite piece is that video he did where he draws a wall size one.
While I like his sketches a lot, I wish it wasn't all so busy. It feels like he has little sense for how to guide the eye and makes up for it by adding something to see everywhere.

I agree with you here. He's very detail oriented and that really ruins some of his images, especially when he does things like those giant mural demos. Some of them look great about halfway through then he fills any spare space on the page with more characters and details and it becomes an unreadable mess.
Pic related is one of the few where he really uses the empty space on the page well and I think it is really successful. I also am fond of some of his brushpen sketches of friends or whatever where he colours large sections of their clothes in a flat black.
