Artists are more likely to shy away from porn because it's porn. Artists also struggle with the implications of about becoming 'porn artists', worried about their image, and how it might impact future opportunities. When an artist becomes well-known for their porn, they have a wide pool of potential commissioners who are more likely to have disposable income (tfw no gf) and who put a lot of value in porn and seeing their waifu take it up the ass.

Harder to draw + fewer artists doing it + people wanting it = people willing to pay more for porn coms.
