The designs look fine, not as good as gen 6, since those were GOAT, but still pretty decent.

You can choose secondary types, but they must all be Fire types, and starters. They also can't resemble existing Pokemon of the same classification too much.

Fire/Grass type starter, based on Pan. Hoofs and horns are charred sticks, the tail is a branch constantly on fire. It is seen running before wildfires, and any sighting of one causes a panic.

Some guys from /v/ had a pokemon game project that took place in central/latin america, and they had people from the board create some designs. They had a few great designs, these two pic related starters being the best ones. They followed the zodiac thing and everything.
I don't know what happened to the project though.
