>/ic/ will fail at this.
Quite the challenge, but I think this is it.
>>2499264
wrong
>>2499248
The edges are unclear. there's no way to know where the form begins or ends. For all we know its a prism with some lines drawn in its surface
>>2499271
Are the rectangles not part of the shape?
What exactly is part of the form then, left from the middle line, right, just the middle lines?
How about this?
>>2499248
Are you trying to make a point on how 2 views don't give enough information to construct a 3-dimensional shape?
Really bad thread.
>>2499248
Was this supposed to be easy as fuck or is it some kind of trick question?
>>2499248
How do you expect anyone to solve something if you don't give any instructions ?
>>2499303
We have a Winner.
>>2499248
Here you go
>>2499303
Engineer or a guy who is going to make it detected.
t. engineer
>>2499248
Is this a meme now? Reminds me of fingerbox
>>2499367
US OLDFAGS RIGHT XD
>>2499303
still wrong
Jokes on you i have a degree in architecture
>>2499367
>fingerbox
go to your room. you're grounded.
>>2499264
i smirked
>>2499248
am I close here or super off
>>2499525
thats not it.
You know what fuck it. I'll admit I have no idea fuck this shit and fuck you.
autismfail here
>>2499248
What the fuck do you want with that diagram? is it supposed to be a single line within a rectangular space?
How'd I do boys
>>2499525
>>2499552
you know for some reason I wasn't counting the box and just the shapes. If you count the box it becomes retarded easy.
I don't get it. Is this meant to be a spatial relationships challenge? Was that the implication?
>>2499597
I took "front view" and "side view" to mean it is a 3-D object diagram, two sides displayed in 2-D. I supposed "/ic/ will fail at this" means you were to try to "win" by drawing it in 3-D. I wouldn't have even bothered to try to understand if not for all the people posting drawings who made that assumption.
ezpz
>>2499616
wheres the rest of the block anon. You can't just do the shapes.
>>2499618
k
>>2499264
the only correct answer
>>2499556
I tried the opposite set from my first one
Just the lines, no rectangle.
Why don´t you just use thin walls to achiev the "box" effect?
I wonder when /ic/ will finally discover CAD programs...
Isn't this mental practice supposed to be illustrated by a wire, not a solid form.?
>>2499887
I thought this too, before reading the other posts, so was having a tough time visualizing it. I have no idea the process to solve this with just a line, without resorting to physically bending an object. (If it's even possible?) Can anyone help with this? Or is solving with just a line not even supposed to be attempted?
something like this
>>2499981
Fuck finally someone did it properly. It just goes to show most of the time /ic/ has no fucking idea what they're doing or talking about.
>>2499981
Wow, thanks! Where did you learn how to do this, please? This shows me I have a huge gap in my education. Do you know of any resource, like an instructional book, that helps with things like rotation/multi-views/spatial understanding and would cover this sort of thing?
>>2499248
Teal guy is that you? Didn't remember you ever being salty salty
>>2499981
damn good job

How to draw by Scott Robertson.
OP´s task is too easy. Try this one.
>>2499248
how is this supposed to help me with art at fucking all?
>>2500176
You're not going to make it.
>>2500176
>how is drawing supposed to help me drawing
kek
>>2500176
Making isometry out of similar views is common exercise at the start of courses like engineering drawing. At the least it builds your spatial awareness and requires from you being accurate.
>>2500176
Doing this exact exercise is not all that relevant in most cases. Maybe some industrial design or architecture things would need this, but most concept art and illustration wouldn't do this. But the skills that are required to do this are just basic perspective/construction techniques that you would use elsewhere.

SCOTT ROBERTSON WOULDBE PROUD
>>2500065
Thank you!
>>2499982
Except the front view would look like this you autistic doublenigger
>>2499603
This is literally the only one that actually got it right.
The object only shows two sides so unless you are to assume the other 2 sides are just mirrors this is how it would actually look.
The thing that makes this stupid is the outside box including the shape. If it's just the shape a lot of people have gotten it right.
They're alll wrong.
Now animated.
Reminds me of pic related
This only counts if the OP guide is a silhouette.
