/cgl/ was a relatively small board (like /ic/) and the modes gave less than a shit about it. It was too irrelevant for them to care.
Eventually every other thread on /cgl/ was community drama. There were threads targeting users that went to bump limit multiple times a day. Tripfags started appearing and forming their own cliques and threads. Other boards started infiltrating to fuck with them, /r9k/, /fit/, /a/, and stormfags. It wasn't uncommon to have a thread about finding a gf, rate my dick, and gassing the kikes reaching bump limit.
It became a lawless board, turned to garbage as no one could even discuss cosplay or lolita without their threads turning to shit.
Eventually moot brought down the hammer, banned all tripfags for a few weeks, and resorted the board. Now, you can't shitpost on /cgl/ at all without being banned or have your posts deleted. All off-topic and vendetta threads resulted in a ban.
I see this happening to /ic/ very soon. What with threads about fucking buttplugs up for days, singling out "literally who" artists, doxxing people. It's only a matter of time before you faggots ruin all the fun because you went too fucking far for too long.
