Pretty good, mane. Your understanding of values is clearly well developed, but I'd recommend you take it a step further; your mark making is a little.. Not "sloppy," but it lacks definition. If you tighten up those areas where the values change, it'll really make the details of the anatomy shine.
Also, assuming it wasn't used as a crutch, I like your minimalist shading of the head; it wasn't the focus, but you left it in and showed that it had mass, gud job.
