Is that the manga that got a shitty cgi adaptation last season? It deserved better
I don't mean to talk down on OP's post, but are there any manga with great drawings that aren't gory / pornographic?

Problem is that for one thing most people on this site are edgy.
Other problem is that seinen(mens) manga generally have a month to release chapters, shounen(young male) manga has to be released every week.
Shounen is what a lot of energy gets put into but because they have short deadlines they don't always put out as great artwork. The demographic isn't overly picky either.
Shounen art is more about eyechatching character designs than anything else.

Still, I like shonen manga in its own way.
pic related is the #3 shonen manga as of April 4th

Look for Ueshiba Riishi. He is almost there, but never really there,

Well, Otoyomegatari is certainly out there, sadly nothing pornographic there. No gore either but I don't lament lack of it.

this manga sucks ass.The only redeeming part is an interesting setting and an awesome draftsmanship
the main character's personality changed like twice so far and it's pretty stupidly obvious that little to nothing was planned for the story and its direction.
Want to read a comic where every single panel is basically a golden age illustration?

huh? nothing personnel, kid
>>2480545
pretty sure the manga actually changed writers half way.

It's weird how manga paneling is ten thousand times more appealing to read than comics. I wish I was kidding. It's not even related to the artstyle since there are plenty of manga artists with styles comparable to western ones.
It feels like comics are limited by a set amount of "comic panneling rules", while manga manages to use it freely. There is also the thing with the amount of effects manga uses to make everything much more dynamic, like action lines. Comics feels nowhere near as dynamic as most manga pages.
Again, I'm not talking about the quality of the art in itself, but the very core of a drawn story, the storyboard. And My childhood was full of western/french/belgian comics, I'm not a weaboo shitposter.
Ajin is indeed fucking dope

A lot of manga artists base paneling off of movement and camera angles used in films.
>>2481406
Which is what makes it good and way more immersive. The panels are way more dynamic and diversified. To compare with a classic series like TinTin, it's more like a graphic novel, while manga are more a drawn movie.

Well Tintin and Prince Valiant are an unfair comparison in that they're from the 1930s when comics were in their infancy. American and European comics have different aproaches to paneling (as well as story and pacing) and to me it would be boring if these cultural/regional differences didn't exist.

haikyuus anime is amazing as well on an animation standpoint.

Finally someone on /ic/ who acknowledges how great of an artist and storyteller Mark Crilley is!
Does someone have that about a secret agent in a school of supervillains?
I'm not sure if is traced but god-damn, that glorious anatomy.
