not sure what board to post this on, but here goes. ive been coloring manga for years for my own benefit and i feel ive gotten a good grasp on digital painting through doing so. most of what i do though ends up looking smooth and glossy and thats not always the best look. i want it to look more like a scanlated manga, pic related. but i cant figure out how to create that pixelization. closest ive gotten is the hurl noise filter in gimp, desaturated and put on soft light above all the color layers. but that doesnt cause any hue change, only brightness and saturation so its only kind of close. can anyone help?
