Thanks Anon, great examples. I worked on it a little more before I saw your suggestions. Will post when done after apply this.
>>2473339
you forgot to throw in some chroma aberration
>>2473367
No fuck
>>2473462
>>2474002
Looks nice anon, wish you put more care into the pinstripes though.
>>2474002
put some more work on this
tired of it now
>>2473339
Is that noise filter of yours tiling into patterns? Why would you even?
>>2474258
The face looks great
>>2472951
i dun goofed by using this brush pen, the lineart wasn't that awful
>>2474883
Eyes are the worst part, two flat ovals and doens't really capture the character of the origina. Just generic symbols.
Work on this later. The stage-right eye is tripping me, with how it's both sunken and surrounded by heavy bags.
>>2474942
gotta make that lid a little droopier on the eye on the right. instead of coming to a point like the eye on the left, the top of the eye on the right is actually pretty flat.
>>2473846
anyone know where i could find the pdf?
Bumpo, I'm gonna do it but no time right now.
>>2475355
Try book thread
What's wrong before I leave my linework?
Sure feels good to have the inherent, inexplicable talent that turns everything to gold
See you later suckers, I'll be living life on easy street
>>2475846
I couldn't wait
>>2475912
bridge of the nose is looking a little narrow, and something looks off around the mouth/cheek area, cant quite put my finger on it
>>2475955
It looks like it's been twisted off to the right of the head a bit. Just off center as far as I can tell.
>>2475883
Nice eyes.
Signature well deserved
>>2475883
aaaa-AAAAAAAAAAA THE SPARK WITH THIS ONE IS SO BRIGHT!!!!
come on faggots, show me your studies
...derp
It is beyond repair because
I started the worst possible way: with the details.
I noticed it from the start but I didn't want to turn back
there was no return
"fuck it", I thought, "it's just a study of some old man I don't know"
well this is what it became; he looks like he is drunk, I didn't manage to capture his clear gaze.
>>2476968
>some old man I don't know
it's fucking roosevelt dude
>>2476968
shit's crooked yo. your alignments are all messed up. have you tried looking at it mirrored?
Sorry if the image is giant I'm on my phone and I can't resize
>>2476968
For how long have you been drawing? Do you draw everyday? I liked your study, anon. Give tips for a beginner, please.
>>2477203
It's a study. Repeat till you get nearer.
>>2474915
nah, you think that's the worst part because it's the only thing you can actually see from the shitty picture.
>>2475242
Thanks, that really helped! I spent too much time on this so I'm not gonna leave this as is.
>>2472951
are we suppose to do it upside down
Fuck this shit.
>>2478028
damn son, that's a good study.
>>2477899
kek
>>2477787
that's looking pretty fantastic, anon. If you ever feel like coming back to it, it might be good practice to get the finer details in like the wrinkles and pinstripes.
>>2472951
>>2478028
Wow man, I like how that's going so far
>>2478157
there's a lot wrong here, but the most glaring is the chin. which you've drawn small and receding. Reexamine the shape of the chin in the reference, make note of where the edges of the chin are in relation to the other features/centerline. Also note where the apex is.
Also your application of values seem a little slapped on and not really taking a lot of direction from the reference. They're not covering the same areas as the reference and aren't modeling the same shapes.
nice study, would do again
>>2479537
wow such spark

help
>>2482594
Chin looks too big. Lay out the rest of your values before you get too caught up in the details.
>>2472951
Took a crack at doing this one in ink - I made a few mistakes with the base value mapping that I didn't correct during the inking stage. I learned a lot from this and I have an idea of what to do moving forward, but if anyone else can offer advice or criticism I would be very appreciative.
Thanks.

Your handwriting looks like an 8 years old alien's writing
I don't do this very often, tips?
>>2483783
That's not my handwriting; it's my neighbour's. Aside from what he's written there, is there anything I can do to improve?
>>2483633
I really enjoy your hatching style
>>2483882
he's missing the top/back of his head.
>>2483952
I see now, thanks.
>>2483633
cross hatching the background on the left was a mistake
in the refrence the dark background is on the right, also cutting it short in such a diagonal manner breaks away from the figure and is too striking.
i do like the pen work thought good try! and the writing is alright. good self assessment!
>>2476968
he looks like bukowski
>>2483884
I'm terrible at inking so I don't have any advice, but it looks pretty nice. The fingers look like sausages though.
Any advice appreciated
>>2484997
read the sticky
>>2484997
1) resize before posting
2) study facial features in depth to help you get rid of your symbol drawing
>>2484997
Study skulls & how to measure/do layins. Basically teh fundamentals
cant figure out whats wrong
>>2488651
the angle of the mouth, the nose, and all your proportions basically
fuck off FDR we know you just want free portraits.
Bump.
