so we finally meet again CP...
It's been a long time /b/,
a long time...
That's a Vincent Desiderio, right? I googled it, seems like the kid features in a lot of his works (it's his disabled son).
Funny how the first time I saw that I automatically imagined something untoward going on, when in fact it's just an artist depicting his life being a parental caregiver.
>>2461575
his pee pee is placed too high
0/10
>>2461602
yeah, but that piece is deliberately suggesting such a thing. The choice to have his son completely exposed and in that pose in a bed with a nude man is deliberate

Freedom.
Of.
Artistic.
Expression.
Image.
Is not.
Sexual.
>>2461575
So beautiful and so sad. bbl, manly tears.
is posting "pedo art" a meme on this board now too? man I'm gone.
>>2461689
As this board's pedophile, I'm not attracted to disabled kids and this is nothing like pedo art.
Very good painter.
>>2461689
>highly respected figurative painter
>pedo art

It's his son, who he views as innocent and who he must labor for as a caretaker despite the various indignities they must suffer such as nudity. It's the viewer that brings any sexual connotations.
>>2461693
I love how he used pieta imagery in this. My feels. Dear god I wish i could paint like this fellow.
>>2461703
I was asking if POSTING "pedo art" was a meme.
I've seen two or three posts today with some vaguely pedo stuff being posted and someone saying MODSSS.
either way I'm leaving everyone here is a teenager.
>>2461717
You... expected maturity on 4chan?
>>2461715
Fuck I actually didn't notice that until you pointed it out, it's cool the way you can re-contextualize things like that.
>>2461634
I don't think it is. Sure, like I said, initially because of the ideas we as a society now have about child nudity, I also saw something really sinister in the painting, but in the context of say, an exhibition of his with many more paintings of his son, you wouldn't see it as that.
You'd see a very solemn and sad scene, where the child's nudity maybe further suggests a sort of helplessness on top of the oxygen plug in his throat. I read an article that mentioned the similar image I posted, where Desiderio expanded on how he paints the "sickly" character as more alive than the healthy but very still grandpa. (It was also a metaphor for modernism and shit like that I haven't got much interest in but anyway.)
>>2461583
You were supposed to be burdoned with sadness when you see that painting
a father's struggle with his disabled son
just look how he modifies his room so the toilet and the sink is close to the bed so he can take care of him during the night
>>2461722
No, you're wrong. This is a sick sick man who is probably hurting his poor retarded son right now.
>>2461717
>anyway I'm leaving here everyone is a teenager
Way to show your maturity lad
