/ic/, what's the point in putting so much time and effort into learning art when cgi is going to take over in another decade or so?
Oh look it's this thread again.
Yeah it's pointless OP so please stop drawing and anyone else who has this thought in their head do follow in OPs footsteps. Your contribution to suiciding out of arting is a valuable one.

You cannot become good at digital sculpting without drawing skills.
I think youve been talking to the wrong people, OP

Watch the anime ShiroBako.
Just because you have the tools doesn't mean you know how to use them.
CGI workers need to know art just as much as conventional artists.
In the end of the day, those who learn without tools will be better equipped to handle the tools.
Software is just shortcuts that make things easier, but you still have to put in the 7 hours of work for 4 years to get your brain to understand the concepts.
Uh...wouldn't the rise of CGI be a case in favour of learning art?
Everything needs design these days. So no its not just cgi. Is your dad saying uncaring outdated shit to prevent you from drawing?
We! A$ humans can not simply shrek this up and
"Settle this ogre a pint"
You need to know to draw in order to learn to do anything else well!
Draw, smoke, show such is the cycle of life!
Traditional art is the basis of any art, unless you just so happened to have some digital art board in your house or some cancer like that the good for you?
