He does, I met the guy when he did a week long figure/head drawing workshop in my state last year. He doesn't post his finished stuff online, but he has a lot of VERY impressive, fully rendered drawings/paintings.
He is an awesome teacher and watching him draw/paint in person is when you'll really appreciate how good he is.

I just thought "wow, the guy that drew this is a real artist" I didn't know anything about drawing and I had never really been fascinated by model-drawings before. it was from that picture I found out about vilppu. The way that show looks is nothing to do with him, just thought it was funny to see one of the most on-point drawing and anatomy teacher's name turn up at the end of a show where every character's facial features slide around their heads every time they move. I think that has more to do with it probably being animated by 6 year old Korean children.

Its one thing to know where the liver lies in relation to the pectoral, its another to know how to draw the curves while keeping things looking pretty.

Even on the site that sells the dvd of him painting that says that it sucks. No idea why he even sells it. I had some classes from him and in a google call he showed some stuff he was working on and it looked great. (note google plus video chat isn't the best for viewing art) No idea why he never posts any of his paintings but from talking to him it seems all he does is fast small paintings in ink/watercolor and mainly just draws with his polychromos or ink pens.

Arc is more to do with realism. Vilppu's stuff is from his head not from life so he never takes stuff to the level you see someone like Jeffrey Watts or Michael John Angel do.

He was a storyboard artist, talk to anyone working back then about storyboard artists. They draw it then the idiots they got doing layout and keys just trace the model sheets and kill it. JohnK has tons of posts about heman talking about it from time to time. Good for a laugh.

He also teaches composition. If you see him instruct composition you can tell he can do more than just analyze the figure.
When I did his basic drawing class he even talked about doing background paintings for Tiny Toons.
