Is Miura one of the few actually skilled Jap comic artists? I know a lot of weebs are retarded and don't have standards, but he seems to be genuinely skilled compared to western standards.
>could there be some skilled artists in this entire country and industry????
Gee anon, maybe
>>2441474
I have a feeling this post really has the power to cause a giant shitstorm that no one will find entertaining in the end. And I don't even like anime.
Calling it
>>2441474
It's a yes / no question. So this is obviously bait.
i prefer taiyo matsumoto
>>2441487
>>2441490
What's /ic/'s opinion on Takehiko Inoue?
>>2441492
you may have those initial feelings, but matsumoto is far more interesting in terms of utilizing his massive skill hand-in-hand with his storytelling, as opposed to miura who is utterly incompetent when he is not using macbeth as his story foundation. also your image is incredibly boring.
>>2441499
incredible.
>>2441501
>>2441474
murata is pretty high tier
>>2441474
What's even the point of baiting on this slow ass board. Just post this shit on /v/ if you are so desperate for (You)s
>>2441492
I've never seen a better example of a plebe opinion. Thanks
>>2441508
because, anon. Murata is a god
>>2441508
having to only illustrate a few key frames gives you more time to make each frame look nicer than an entire episode of animation
>>2441474
Extremely detailed must mean it's good!
>>2441474
>Japan
>Good
C'mon anon, raise your standard just a bit, please.
>>2441474
Good but kinda stiff and dull.
>>2441474
I would probably kill myself trying to draw all those goddamn bricks and scales.
>>2441508
I don't think you understand what animation is, anon.
>>2441745
post your shit cunt
>>2441717
You're no artist. You're a pathetic consumer doing the equivalent of neckbeards arguing about which console they prefer to play their video games on.
>>2441708
I agree that Miura is overdoing it with the details and most of his pages would look way better if he used less of it, but if you can't see why else he's a great artist, you're beyond hope. His inking is excellent, especially in combat scenes and the designs and aesthetics of Berserk are iconic as fuck.
I guess someone whose artistic goal is to illustrate MTG cards or paint dog portraits in watercolors won't quite get just how much this guy has achieved as artist and sequential story teller.
>>2441499
big big big big big big fan
>>2441474
I actually like the guy who draws Shingeki no Kyojin. Yes his anatomy is fucked up but his design for the Titans is awesome.
>>2441484
This. No point of even replying, shame since thread could be about good japanese/asian artists but now it's fucked up beyond all repair.
>>2441474
He draws every single brick and shingle, but it adds nothing to the drawing and is pretty boring to look at.
>>2441508
the animation is still good though! but it costs money to animate! gotta compensate
They have way too much fucking patience and discipline.
I'd need an hyperbolic time chamber to produce a single issue of Vagabond in a year. They do it once to twice a month.
>>2441474
>muh detail
>>2446295
You're just mad you are not autistic enough.
Not particularly good but I just like this picture.
Takehiko Inoue i didnt read the thread to see if someone mentioned him already but it doesnt matter he deserves all the boosts in the world
dude does spectacular figures and facial expressions
>>2447569
whos artist?
>>2447582
Morino Hon.
