Personally I find it far more annoying when you 'promote' people from the beginner thread than when you 'demote' people from the draw thread. You've 'promoted' me before, as it happens, and I don't find it any less pretentious. I can appreciate a compliment, but the pretension is what gets me. I've even seen you tell someone to go to the drawthread and then tell them to go back to the beginner thread when they did it.
I'm not bitter that you've told me I'm bad because you never have, I think it's not your place to tell people where to post their art, and I think your opinion of yourself is too high for your level. To me, that's part of the problem. I once uploaded some of my work and got criticized by someone. But he didn't just point out what was wrong, he actually gave me tips to improve, told me to study some lesser known artists and recommended artbooks and stuff, shit that wasn't even in the sticky.
