Mfw I can't draw
How can I get the spark?
Stop drawing anime.
Get your ass into basics. Don't touch any of that cartoon shit until you've gotten your fundamentals down.

Its anime not cartoons

That's like saying "it's not comics it's manga." As an anime fan, STFU and stop drawing cartoon shit.

Anon, you still need to start drawing real heads and learn your fundamentals, and this is coming from someone who draws porn of animu girls for money.
AKA read the sticky
But I really get burned with loomis. I only draw for fun and anime is the only thing I like drawing.
>"I can't draw!"
>here's how you can learn
>"I don't want to!"

if you want to draw at least half decent you got to get into the fundimentals
>>2427626
then /ic/ is not the place for you
>drawing anime as a start
you lost before you even began, amigo
You'll eventually be able to draw anime, but if you don't learn the fundamentals that's all you'll be able to draw and it will take a lot longer to get good.
Just step back annon
You've mistaken something anon.
The "spark" isn't some metaphor for creativity or passion.
The "spark" is your ability to keep on going despite the challenges or despair. The "spark" is what keeps you drawing when everything turns out as shit. The "spark" is what keeps you going, through thick and thin, in sickness and in health.
You don't make it without the "spark", however, there are some who go their entire life without realizing they have the "spark". The "spark" does not care for itself, the "spark" will help you selflessly without you being any the wiser.
Sometime you ink is refilled and you have no idea why, some days you wake up motivated to draw, other times a mistake suddenly looks like a blessing. Its at these times you realize the "spark" isn't just walking beside you, its been carrying you all along.

disregard those guys.
learn about head construction and do anime drawings in light of that. you will learn the same as if you were doing any other kind of stylized stuff.
though if you want to step forward one day to make your anime more realistic by understanding what they simplify, then you got to practice real faces.
but then start with whatever isn't daunting to you. get into the habit of drawing a lot. fill pages with your anime drawings and fast. always mind construction. I recommend drawing head and hands by loomis and michael hampton's book.
learn construction while also having fun with your anime. and then connect them and feel the form in its three dimensions.
