What do you use to carry your art stuff around? Do you have a backpack stuffed with paints? Do you just have a small moleskin and a pen that you keep tucked in your jeans?
How organised and fashionable are you, and how do your tools relate to your trade?
In my inside pocket of my coat I have a bunch of folded good quality art paper with a pencil and a pen.
That way I have it with me everywhere I go. I've had too many times that I saw something I wanted to draw and I didn't have any paper or a pen on me.
In my backpack I usually have a small sketchbook, a few brushes, my watercolors, pens, pencils, water, knife and a bit of cloth.
That might sound as quite a bit, but it doesn't take up much space. I use the backpack not only for my art stuff. I am looking for a new dedicated small bag.
This is pretty much what I carry in my main bag, depending on what I feel like working on during the day. I have a separate case for my watercolours and copics but I need to compact it all because it's a lot to carry on rainy days.
I work in a tattoo studio so I ought to start leaving some art supplies there but I use them more often at home and I don't have the money to buy two different sets of copics at the moment (one for home, one for work).
Also have to make a second portfolio to keep at work because having the one is just bad ju-ju when I keep original pieces in it and travel a lot with it.

I'm an idiot and dropped the pic.

Medium sized moleskin with a 0.3mm mechanical pencil, 2mm lead holder, Brush pen, and a 0.5mm fine liner. I just put them in my pockets. Field sketching to me is just discreet and quick. My tools are essential to me, but in all honesty for what I do I could just carry around a HB pencil and printer paper and still do what I want.
