Would you be willing to make the ultimate sacrifice?
Say you are making a humble living freelancing but are fed up with lack of progress because freelance work takes up most of your time. You want to study and become even better. You live in high upkeep first world country, but have relatives in literal third world shithole. You could move there and live rent free, for 1 or 2 years. Although it's a shithole country, geographically it's absolutely gorgeous and relatively safe. You could explore it on motorbike, paint from life every day, and live like a king with the money you currently make. You have no friends, gf, or life whatsoever holding you back.
Do you do it? This is the decision I'm facing.

I'd do it. I think constantly scrambling to make ends meet is keeping me from putting together a portfolio that could get me better work. I mean I fucking have less than 25 cents in my bank account right now but a bill for $130 due in 2 days and taxes due from last year and this year soon after that plus other bills, meanwhile my attempt at fundraising by streaming got fucked six ways from sunday in ways I don't even want to talk about and my commission backlog is keeping me from taking on more work and getting more money but even once I catch up the money I'd get from new commissions won't cover shit and that's all just the tip of the iceberg. If I could maybe go to south america or Spain or something rent free I bet I could finally do what I need to land a job where I could come back and work my way up like a normal person instead of a pauper who has to choose between toothpaste and shampoo. I'm already living like I'm in the 3rd world, might as well.

most of these places are also incredibly beautiful and i can already see myself dreaming of cruising through gorgeous landscapes on my scooter, stopping everywhere to do nathan-fowkes wannabe guache sketches.
i'm really tempted guys. i have a bit of money lying around and very little obligations.
