Everyone can learn. It takes a metric ton of effort and time, though.

Keep grinding, anon.

If you have a functioning brain you can learn.
Everyone's experience varies, OP. Keep drawing and studying relevant information and eventually you'll get where you want to be. Just don't expect immediate results like most whining beginners do.
>>
>>2410076
OP here.

I've learned hard skills before (3D modeling) so I know it doesn't come overnight.

I'll keep at it. What should my next steps be?

Just keep at it bro, and you'll be the next... Above average artist..? I mean, you're not going to be great or anything, you don't have the time for that, not the natural talent, obviously, but if you just want to learn to draw for your own sake, then you're on the right path!

Sorry Op, but it's true, not everyone is born an artist and that's okay, maybe you were born a different kind of artist, like a musician.

Do you fucktards even ENJOY art? Why are you shitting on a guy for trying to learn a skill? Do you really think there's some exclusive race of artists born to contribute to the community and nobody else can reach their level no matter how much they practice, because they don't have the "gene"? Drawing is a hobby, rarely a career, but never something so important that you can exclude others who are determined to improve.
>>
>>2411453
suffer for your art or give it up

integrity does not pander

the weak should fear the strong
>>
>>2411453
do you even 4chan? this isn't a community with members that you sign up for. it's anonymous. you see what you want, decide to read it, not, respond, disregard, share your input, etc.
>>
>>2411453
Good luck getting any serious responses, but let me answer for you..

These people aren't interested in putting other people down, they're interested in raising themselves up. And what they post on here is working for them, but does little for anyone else (depresses newbies and angers other lurkers).

But how can anyone be mad, when it becomes clear that these people who say such things are doing it because they need it. You can't even begin to imagine the kind of poison that they are struggling with inside their own heart.

And shame on you if you already knew the answer to your question and only wanted to bash horns with trolls. There is the one lone troll post and the whole ruined thread that comes after it when others engage them. Please, do yourself a favor and ignore them.

As my late grandmother used to say, nobody fights with a piece of dog turd for smelling awful, so why stoop down to a shitty person's level?
>>
>>2411459
Why do you suffer for your art? Because it's rewarding. Are you saying that people trying to learn to create aren't suffering for their art enough by persistently working on improving? For them, success is much more rewarding because they have to suffer for much longer.

In fact, I would argue that those who claim to be "born with natural talent" barely know the meaning of suffering for their art. If you claim to have not had to work hard to improve your art, then you objectively have not worked as hard as someone who started off sucking at it.
>>
>>2411463
>understanding 4chan
>not supposed to respond or share your input
ok
>>
>>2411473
Moron, mediocre loser that will never amount to anything, that thing you call struggle is the reward! You idiot, sad little piece of dirt, the true suffering is your own eternal dissatisfaction and the misery of failure which is constant and inevitable.

There are people who make 'pictures' and those contented little retards (you) might enjoy their little '''''''''art''''''''s but the actual artists will never know this satisfaction; their only relief is released in the briefest moments as ink or whatever is spread across paper, their paper.

I'm not sure if everyone can learn, but I believe that putting effort in will yield results. From what you're saying, it sounds like you put in a good deal for a first step, so it sounds good. Lets hope you make a habit out of it.
>>
>>2411507
The w/ic/i is a great starting point. It might not be all to your liking, but it has more than enough tutorials, books, pictures, and articles to keep you busy for years. Alternatively, seek out any artists you like and look into any of their advice/recommendations/inspirations.

I'd suggest mixing it up as much as you can to get as much as you can out of every subject.

there's a certain level everyone could reach given ideal circumstances no matter their level of natural talent such as time, motivation, guidance, tenacity, and resources. But not everyone has that available to them. so no.
