Who are some artists that have a really good sense for shape design? I want to study a little more about it but don't really know where to start.

I think Roger Dean does for sure

I suppose it includes good use of negative space, nice curvature and the general relation of the shapes proportions to each other.
Think the guy who drew this was from /ic/, it shows a solid understanding of form and shape design imo
Study graffiti. I am not even kidding. Before I started studying in order to become a concept designer the only thing remotely related to drawing was graffiti. I knew it was not a waste of time when I was doodling in my textbooks in highschool. It helps you come up with cool shapes and what's even more important you learn to be consistent with your shape language. Draw one cool letter. Easy, right? Do a whole word in the same style now.

In no particular order, since shape design exists in many a master's work - though it'd probably stand to reason that more stylized work can take advantage of it.
