I cant render at all. Got good tutorials?
>>2398801
I give it a solid 5/7
>>2398801
Too smooth in some places, too muddy in others.
>>2398829
but how where do I start?
Everything I make is washed out and opacity to hell and the blur tool just makes things give a "pillow effect of shading"

Despite the measuring faults it's still better than 40% of /ic/ i'd say, no meeming.

Hey OP. The thread I intended on posting this in got pruned so I'll share it here. Anyways, I'm shit 'orrible mate! Renderin's a bloody pain, it is. I'm more of a cartoonist myself so I really can't be bothered to render anything past cell-shading level. Even then I do a shit job because I hate clean, precise, pixel-perfect 'cutoff' lines. Also I clearly don't have a clear image of what I'm drawing in mind--so I kind of draw around the hard parts hoping that the easy parts make up somewhat of an interesting painting. This artwork kinda shows what I mean (right is my art, left is reference/original artwork from another anon)
But you know what, I don't really worry about it. Because rendering isn't necessarily my top priority. Of course, we all have different priorities so do what you will, y'know? Also never save a painting 'for web' from Photoshop. I mean, what the hell, man!

Its safe to say you shouldnt worry about rendering for now, work on drawing.

And then she breaks her spine!

maybe that;s how elfs neck work, but those shoulder blades seems to high
>>2399342
fix back, fix shoulder blades. ik there is alot more to fix. i also cropped it a little to stubby then it was original. but thanks. after looking at if for to long its hard to spot my own mistakes. its better to see it in a different eyes views to spot them out.

Pretty shitily

watch CTRLpaint videos; i've been doing their exercises and i've gone from 'blur everything' to 'i can somewhat simplify colours into planes and then blend them'

about a #3 rebar
