I went into a local art store and wasn't intending to purchase anything but felt bad for browsing and asking questions then just walking out so I picked up the cheapest thing I could find I could use, a $5 Borden & Riley #10 100 Sheet Penny Sketch Multi-Use Drawing Paper.

How do people use this? It just has a little thin paper strip binding the sheets together that isn't very resilient. Do most people tear the sheets out or just bend the over the back? I feel like it would quickly rip and fall apart. I'm thinking of taking the paper out and binding it between some sort of harder material. I usually use spiral bound sketch books so I'm kind of lost.
