what am i looking at?
>>
>>2392068
never knew i sucked that bad, road in the middle, train going by(at least how a train in my country looks like) clouds in the sky, and 1 of the cars is opened so i could show people inside of it, meant to show how every1 on a train is alone even though they are so crammed together
>>
>>2392069
Are there multiple trains? I don't see it either. Otherwise it looks nice due to the straight lines

symbol drawing/10
it looks more like a graphic design, not a drawing.

i think you are in a wrong board.
>>

>>2392077
soooooooooooo scrap it?
>>
>>2392083
no, just read the sticky?

u can look at backgrounds from monogatari anime series if you want to draw stuff like that.
>>
>>2392089
thanks, thats actualy great advice
>>
The road is properly drawn in perspective, yet the train lacks any form of perspective, why?

If this would be a perfect side view without perspective (foreshortening) than you would not be able to see the road from above.

Either draw everything in sideview or everything in perspective.
>>
>>2392067
Can you seriously look at this and go "oh yeah, this looks good!"

Be honest.

bitch ive seen worse on this board

your linework is great, practice perspective and develop a better sense of composition (hint: cutting it right in half with the train is not the best idea).

It now looks like a giant fucking speeding train going by a small stationary one.

It's dank as fuck, I think. I'd recommend rolling with that idea and making something that will be more interesting than what you set out to make.

Here's a pic of a master of lines who made clouds, I also recommend you look at similar work and emulate them.

As others have said, stellar line work. You got a blog? I have a huge boner for lines

no blog, thanks for the references though

Whatever you drew above the train looks absolutely nothing like clouds. You'd be better off drawing those lumpy blobs that five year olds draw than that.

Even so, we should be able to see some depth.
Pardon the fucking terrible edit, but hopefully you kinda get the idea. All the teal rectangles should be the visible side planes of each car.
Each car is just a 3D box.

Dark blue lines are just using the road to find the horizon and vanishing point.
Yellow lines set the train on a ground plane to give it some depth.
Red lines go from the vanishing point to the closest corner of each car (and top corner, but for simplicity's sake I'll just align that with the horizon and call it close enough).
Teal lines indicate the side planes of each car that should be visible in perspective (some of them will be overlapped by the surrounding cars). These are found at the intersections of red and yellow lines, with straight verticals to complete them.

This is just an example, obviously I've made them way too thick, but I just want the lines to be clear.

This is a pretty shitty edit like I said and doesn't at all represent what lines actually should have been put down, just the theory behind them. But if it's making no sense whatsoever, time to pick up a perspective book and bone up on it.

>>2392665
Kinda like that the clouds don't quite look like clouds, but I think you could do something more interesting with the train. Looks really flat as is. Could incorporate the technique used above to somehow make the train look like it's moving fast er sumthin

How are you doing those lines OP, with a ruler maybe?
>>

thanks

>>2397223
yes, how else, i dont have very steady trained hands
>>
>>2392564

idk if they look like clouds, but they look fucking cool.
Did you use a reference for this at all? Doing something so stylised, it'd definitely help to get a solid photo reference of clouds (or anything you'd like, really) and then copy that while translating it into this style, to give you a feel for the form of a real cloud and what each line you're putting down represents. Like, get as close to accurate as possible. Not necessarily in finished pieces, but on the side as studies to really develop this kind of stylisation and take out any guess work.

Thought top right was a dome.
Thought train were road blocks.

Also, this literally looks like it was all drawn with a ruler.
