All these guides sound fine and dandy on paper, but they all go to shit when you actually start drawing.

Learning any skill is a matter of skillful effort + time.
Learning how to make that effort skillful (through being analytical, critical, etc.) is going to take a certain amount of time.

Good luck faggit.
>>
>>2390662
Not possible. No shortcuts. Read the fucking sticky and go back to draw. Stop making shit threads.

We're not hiding the secret to be succesful from beginners like you, faggot.
>>
>>2390662

actually irakli nadar just showed the entire world how to cash in with very rudimentary skills.

develop a simple, straight forward work flow to turn any cute girl into a sexy cute girl photomanip. use CA, noise, liquifiy, color dodge, oversaturation and faux-brushwork-software like aqvis, and if you use scripts and actions you can probably pump the speed up to 30 min per image. then you spend on createing a brand, social media presences everywhere, and proceed to bombard the internet with 10 images per day. do this consitantly for 4 months and you will no doubt have a petreon with anywhere between 500-1000$, ontop of 2000 facebook followers minimum. you will probably be able to sell gumroad tuts/vids/brushes as well somewhat regularly in order to pull in another monthly 100-200$, and prints for another 100-200$ monthly.

going from zero to hero in 4 months is impossible. You're gonna be shit no matter what shortcuts/cheats u use.
>>
>>2390810
>>2390829
these men are lying
you just have to bee yourself and you will git gud in 4 months
>>
>>2390829
if all your time is free then no. if you neet then no prob.
>>
>>2390838
do you know any guy who went from 0 to hero in less than a year?
>>
>>2390802
The drawing aspect of it isn't the only problem either. I started on this last year and I was already good enough at drawing but I kept running into snag after snag with all the business and marketing aspects of it. Doing pure freelance is essentially running your own business and that shit's fucking hard.
>>
>>2390662
The exercises you listed are not even basics. If you want to learn seriously, then you will need to spend years. I needed already more than 4 months to either find the books I want or try out all the tools until something stuck with me.

OTOH, you can just be artsy and hope your stuff is cool as in >>2390826 this is the difference between learning the art as craft and doing something fashionable that gets people hooked. (And ask maybe others to do the hard work for you.) Then you are an entrepeneur.
>>
Read the fucking sticky.
It's there for a reason.
>>
>>2390662
go ahead
>>
>>2390931
It's like you didn't read OP's post at all.
>>
>>2391025
From beginner to pro in 4 months won't happen.
Read the sticky.

>making $1000/mo on Patreon
You guys still haven't figured the difference between popularity, studying traditional art and having a professional skill.
>>
>>2391170
Tell about it then.
>>
Is trying harder techniques a good way to improve faster? What would you advise for people who want to learn as fast as possible?
>>
>>2392017
Have a clear cut goal and work towards it. Make a list of things you need to improve in order to reach said goal. Study other artists who have the kind of job you want to have. Way too many aspiring artists just have this vague goal of getting good in general and that's it. That's a really ineffective way of approaching art and a lack of clearly laid out short-term goals will burn you out and kill your motivation.

Also make sure you have a hierarchy of what skills are more important than others for the kind of job you're aiming to do. For example, almost every artist needs to understand how to draw the human figure, but only very few need a perfect understanding of anatomy in order to make money with their art.
>>
>>2390847

I know a few people who managed to do it in 2 years. but 1 year is impossible, let alone 4 months. Anon is retarded and so is anyone else saying he can do it. None of you know the struggle if you're saying it's easy.
>>
As the other anons said your brain needs time to accommodate, analyse and comprehend knowledge. You'll just end up fucking yourself over from too much new information you haven't gotten the time to get accustomed to. Skills are also a matter of habit. From personal experience I can say that there was a time I have read too much books without taking proper time to think them through and study them thoroughly - and I don't mean do 178920 shitty studies like a machine but actually put real thought into each study; not putting rigorous analytical thought into their work is why many people stagnate despite studying all the time - I have found myself with too much information on my hands and skills which weren't up to date with it. Every piece I produced required an insane amount of work because each time I had to combine all of this knowledge - anatomy, perspective, light, you name it - in one piece and each aspect of that knowledge was too new for me to be able to manipulate with ease. It's too much to handle at once. And there's a moment where your brain just switches off. Quick learning exists, ever since I was in school I was always relatively quick to understand new concepts, and I was determined to get good, but most of us do not have superpowers. Memory only extends so far. Mastery comes with habit. I mean unless you're really autistic and lucky.
>>
>>2390662
Stop making Patreon threads.
>>
>>2392097
Make me fucker.
>>
I've seen people git gud in ~2 years and that's with going into good ateliers

with 4 months you probably have to straight up cheat and plagiarize and use most of that time marketing and maybe you'll hit that $$$ number.

Except normies are also a bunch of losers that any if an "artist" tries to draw their idols "realistically" they'd feel that their idol is being acknowledged. It's not about how good the fanart is. It's about how manic the fandom is.

Sorry that you had to hear it here first.

You mean perspective made easy?

Yaoi, porn or furries especially fanart. Nobody gives a flying fuck about anything else.
>>

Nope. Not gonna make it. Be realistic with your goals.
>>
>>2397477
You don't have to be good at art to earn money, anon. I'm a /sci/fag who draws in my spare time and people pay me $90 a pop to draw fluffy cute animals and the last time I posted in the drawthread a guy told me to fuck off and go to the beginner threads.

You'll only make that kind of money in 4 months if you draw furry porn. And a lot of furry porn, hope you enjoy looking at references for dog dicks.
