If I do 2 still lifes everyday will my drawings stop being so flat?
Only if you learn from your mistakes.

So basically just apply what I learn from the still lifes?

only if you get off of the computer and go draw like an actual human being.

And analyze what looks wrong and figure out why.
If you don't try to fix the things you fuck up you'll keep doing them.
If your main focus is getting the construction right, recreating an object from multiple angles, making sure everything relates to a vanishing point, and not just thinking about drawing a flat shape out of an object your observing: then yes, it does.
Make sure you're seeing what primitive shapes make up the entirety of the object (cylinders, rectangular prisms, cones, cubes, etc.) going from the overall shape of the object, to the shape of the smaller parts of the object.
It really helps to develop the ability to think in the z axis as second nature.

That's exactly what I'm trying to do.
I mean I thought about it and nobody re-affirmed it so I was wondering if I was thinking incorrectly.
Thanks man.
