I don't really understand it either. My best guess would be that they're forcing it too much, and they're not actually drawing what they like, so they just make art that lacks a LOT of passion because they're on "git gud" mode. Instead they should channel learning into something that they enjoy. Whether that is drawing porn, or making cool robot guys. Just make sure you draw what you like. No one is forcing you to sit in a chair and do boring as fuck studies.

The problem I commonly see with individuals that are not improving is a mixture between the following:

Listen to me anons, art is a life long journey. Who the fuck cares if someone gets amazing in a year? Just because you don't get good in a year does that mean you'll never get good at art? Fuck no! Everyone is different anon, some people take longer than others but that doesn't make them any less dedicated or passionate. The only way to find out if you'll git gud in a year is to try. If you don't, move on and keep practicing. Draw for more hours if it bugs you that much. Believe me, anon I know what it feels like to be in your situation. The focus of that book, beyond its large amount of pseudoscience, is to force someone that has never been trained in replicating a three dimensional environment or object into a two dimensional surface how to see through a page. It shows you the proper way to see reality through your medium. No, because I've kept track of my progress from day one and have always seen good improvement. I'll spare you the hugbox shit. If you're a month in and haven't seen great improvement, you need to shape up or quit. Biggest mistake i see from 90% of people is that they draw with no end goal and don't spend the time to iron out their mistakes. Those are the people I've seen without improvement and the lot of them eventually quit. If you make quantity over quality a priority, you'll never see quality as long as you live.

That isn't cancer senpai, that's exactly what we want. Work harder on making the daily post good, and grind fundamentals whenever we can to make tomorrow's daily even better.
Doing it for favs or comments in this thread is detrimental sure, and if you end up just posting comfort zone sketches that you know you can make look good then you'll never improve and it'll be shit for you, but working harder to make your stuff look better is great.
