Practice alone doesn't help much if you don't have a set goal to work on, just as walking long distances is futile if you don't know where to go. Lay down a plan, start from one point (preferably with the fundamentals) and work from there. Draw lines and curves, then circles and squares, then cubes, cylinders, prism and cones. Then start playing around with perspective and light values using those shapes.
Read the sticky and try to learn as much from the stuff posted there. And if you want to tackle drawing in a step-by-step procedure, go to drawabox.com and follow the lessons they're offering there.

Yeah...read the sticky, do the exercises, think before drawing, think during drawing, do things different than you are used to.
