I'm sick of photoshop. It leaks memory, slowly using more and more RAM then it gets laggy and crashes when I try to save. What is the best alternative? Is SAI good if you don't want to draw an anime style?

tv paint has a brush system similar to photoshop
manga / clips studio is quite good, I generally prefer it to photoshop, though I'd hang onto photoshop for little bits of postprocessing.

SAI is just a tool, not some kind of magical filter that'll turn your highly detailed photo studies into kawaii annie mays.
Clip studio is the best tool for that type of work.
8gb is the minimum for doing any work nowadays. I would invest in some more memory if you are running into a problem.

Looks like a memory leak issue. That can be caused by many things including your hardware or operating system. If it's a cracked version you are using that could be the reason as it is no longer updated to be compatible with OS changes.
Try to google the numbers together with the words photoshop and error or crash to get some hint for the cause and maybe a possible solution.
Krita or Manga Studio. Both have brush engines lightyears beyond ps.

CC is absolute shit and was losing me money once I noticed how little I actually used the software.
I only use AI, PS ad ID. And I don't even use AI or PS that much now that there are so many apps that are just more intuitive and straightforward. It's a shame ID really doesn't have an alternative or I'd dropped Adobe altogether by now.
I downgraded to CS 3 since that was the last time Adobe actually improved their shit without making it worse somehow else.

use an older version of photoshop? I'm using cs3 because newer versions tend to lag when working with big canvases on my shit laptop. if you just wanna draw cs3 is more than enough.
