/ic/, is there any market at all for non-sexual character based commissions?
I'm in a bit of a deadlock right now because there is nowhere in town I can get a job (you can't get a job without experience but can't get experience without a job) and am thinking of starting to do commissions. Problem is I'm still living with my parents, who are rather prudish, abd they monitor my bank account, and sexy (not always porn) art seems to be the only thing that sells. If I draw "hot" women I'm sexist, if I draw "hot" men I'm gay, either way I'm a perv. [spoiler]which is true tho...[/spoiler] do people pay for people to draw characters that don't satisfy their fetish cravings? Or am I fucked?

Yes there is, especially for no-talent writers on Tumblr, but you should be open to tasteful nudes. Write up a commission sheet that specifies your dos and donts, as well as prices, and shop it around.

I live in a similar situation OP, but I have taken up doing furry porn for money. I'm just sick of it, I'm thinking of promoting myself to do work as a comic artist for just random fucks on the internet.
