I drew this for my gf of our WoW characters taking S.E.L.F.I.E. pics at the Tavern in the Mists hotspring. The color is supposed to be a bit of a slap job just to get the idea across and go further than a simple sketch, but crits would be welcome for placement of shadows and highlights.

draw bigger and don't press so hard on your pencil. Light lines make you able to do more corrections, looks better and is easier to erase.
erasing your drawings afterwards is fine. A normal eraser is fine, but don't use your body to get rid of the residue, use something like a (sturdy) brush.
You will end up throwing away the paper sometime in the future anyway.

I'm digging the shadow shapes and the overall construction on these, nice job! However, I can't help but feel like they're a bit too "blocky"; the very last drawing is the only one that looks like it has a sense of softness like the human body has. The angled lines and straighness do help when you're figuring out the shadow shapes, but you need more soft edges too.
In the first drawing the highlights are distributed a bit too evenly, making the torso seem like a cylinder and stiffening the pose. You should try highlighting it so that it doesn't make her skin look so tight, contouring around the muscles of the torso and where the skin and muscles pull over the ribcage (sort of like an upside down "u" shape).
Obviously you don't need to know all these muscles, but just study the model carefully and look for the subtle changes and rhythms of the body, which will help you give more life to your drawing. I understand that these are fresh drawings, so you didn't have much time to get to do what you wanted to it (tfw in figure drawing), but you're going in the right direction. Good luck!

Totally agree, the straight lines and hard edged lines in the shadow shapes and definitely giving me a blocky result. I guess its become a bit of a crutch, I know its only supposed to be a means of finding the shadow shape but I keep going in and defining the areas with a hard line and you're right its totally flattening them.
Alright, I promise I'll look for the subtle rhythms in the contouring of the muscles and try and get them down with softer shadow shapes. Also I take your point with the highlights, especially in my first drawing, I can totally see that now hahah far out!

Adjust your chosen colors, they're too muddy and dark. Very hard to interpret your map.
Additionally, plot out some actual paths going between things so you get a feeling for whether this actually makes sense as a map at all.
Everything in that looks too close together currently, I wouldn't know from a quick gaze whether its a large area of land or a small village.

Hey guys, I just want to try and redeem myself for posting something generic and boring in the last thread. I'm trying to develop a style and here are some sketches I did today. I spent over an hour altogether but I did just finish the Dracula one and I did only spend about an hour, maybe 15 minutes over, on that one. Anyway let me know what you guys think, this is the first time I'm trying to make a conscious decision about a style for myself, and it's in no small part to how you guys pointed out my other sketches were so boring, so I really want your feedback.

I'd basically recommend an underdrawing or overlay wherein you try to place the clavicle and collarbone, followed by the sternomastoid and sternohyoid as well as the traps. Your placement of the breasts seems to indicate a feel for where the sternum should be that you can use to guide this. I'm just a scrub who fell for the anatomy meme, though.

I think the back leg isn't in the same worm's eye sort of perspective as everything else, and it seems too short. Below the elbow of the down hanging arm, the forearm seems too long. Personally, I think she could be a bit more feminine, with slightly wider hips and a more slender wrist on that down arm, and maybe more of a taper to her legs above the knees. Overall seems to be a good start though.
