Why hasn't something like this already been made?
>release date is April 2016
http://en.rocketnews24.com/2015/10/31/bandai-to-release-life-like-posable-plastic-figures-to-help-you-draw-realistic-epic-poses/
The female one doesn't look as realistic as the male one, but I'd totally buy it anyway
What are 1/6 blank bodies + separate head (if needed)
>>2273117
It's been a thing for a while now anon.
only with the new one you don't have to learn anatomy to use it.
Have fun drawing characters with the same body over and over
>>2273134
Sure, you had to work harder to learn the muscles and position the body, but working harder is a waste of time if it's not efficient.
You can simply draw the guy on the upper left just fatter if you'd like, but now you're learning muscles at the same time.
>>2273117
This is great. Imagine in the future if we could get a poseable model inspired by Michelangelo's work. (At least for males anyway)
>>2273145
...oh
>>2273134
>with the new one you don't have to learn anatomy to use it.
If you can move the joints into unrealistic angles then you'll still have to know something or you'll still be making poses with broken limbs/joins. You'll also have to know some musculature to fill in areas where the joins and things connect. I don't think this is going to make plebs into pose/anatomy masters.
Just another crutch for the unskilled to fall prey to.
>>2273151
I just have hostility towards japan and this looks like something for animu, I'm sure it's a fine tool for those who would like to use it.
Realistic figurines are good for reminding you what overall shape in the figure is like, but don't make the mistake in thinking you can learn figure drawing from anything other than a live human being.
This is gonna be great for composing action shots. Can model two guys fighting and immediately see how it looks.
For your preggo loli with sewed shut vagina drawing needs
>>2273117
good display on the drafting room.
>>2273117
Art S Buck figures have existed for years and are cheaper than the shit you show.
>>2273134
These break far too easily.
>>2273314
those look like shit, at least the ones op posted look pleasing
not to mention the hand attachments and more accurately simulated human joints
and at a barely higher price point...
>>2273321
These are anatomically correct, for artists that want to draw more than animu.
>>2273323
>>2273323
Fix your eyes please. The OP figure have far more balanced proportions. Look at those itty bitty feet, dat barrel neck, them chicken arms. Horrible
The one in the OP has a better head and musculature. Though, I feel that this one takes a close second.
>Animu tho
Nigga, if you're good enough, it shouldn't matter what the model really looks like.

>>2273145
I want these. Only if they have poseable cock n balls as well.
>>2273323
>These are anatomically correct
Haha, what? Their proportions are completely fucked compared to the ones OP posted.
Also you are supposed to use them as pose reference, as a slightly more accurate mannequin to figure out perspective, foreshortening, different angles, difficult poses etc, not to copy their anatomy 1:1, you dumbass.
>>2273665
>replying to shitposter
>>2273665
The people this shit panders to is exactly those who want to skip learning anatomy.
>>2273117
If you would rip off the arms of the male one, you'd have get a decent figure to practice extreme angles. That the only thing I'd use it for.
>>2273356
The new ones they're gonna come out with look real nice, too.
>>2273996
Wow those look way better than the old ones. Got a link?
>those unrealistic body standards
disgusting
>>2273145
tfw I have the Michelangelo one preordered
>>2273117
You could blow a couple of hundreds of bucks on these stuff
....or you could just use the myriad of posing softwares available out there
>>2273134
It's always baffled me how people could or would even want to use one of these figures. Even if you know anatomy, I still can't fathom how you'd use this as any sort of reference
Nobody competent actually needs that crap.
Why would you waste your time fucking around with dolls when you can draw a figure from any angle, in any pose with several quick lines?
Read Loomis.
Watch Vilppu
>>2276636
>Read Loomis.
>Watch Vilppu
>Nobody competent actually needs that crap.
Irony
>>2273134
These are shit, their poses as stiff as if they had a stick shoved at their ass, which they do, that's why I'm interested in the op ones.
Isn't there simply some app to pose some 3-D model in the desired position?
>>2276684
There's tons, but even Waifu Poser (http://terawell.net/terawell/?lang=en) doesn't give you the same rapid iteration you'd get with something in your hands. Not to mention the benefits of working from something in real life vs a 2D reference.
>>2276636
Yup this is all you ever need and anything else you can think of to supplement your learning is WRONG
It must have been really hard for aspiring artists back then when loomis or vilppu didn't exist, those poor souls
What's the point of those when the underlying musculature doesn't deform according to the position of the limbs?
If you need poses, it's pretty pointless, since it's quicker to just draw a bunch of cylinders in perspective.
If you need anatomy, well, those dolls don't have any. You need to know how muscles stretch and contract and how they attach to the bones to draw believable anatomy.
Sounds like a crutch for shitty anime artists.
Wait, why not just get real people to pose for you?
>>2276950
It's inconvenient to have a friend pose for you at a drop of a dime and for an unknown amount of time?
>>2276950
Fuck reference, just have people available to pose for you 24/7
>>2273158
nah
wouldnt even use it honestly
looks like some parts of it are out of proportion, and if thats the case youre just better off not looking at it at all
>>2276950
last time I asked a friend to pose for a futa /ss/ anal vore piece they called me a faggot and haven't talked to me since
>>2276950
because we're all fat.
>>2274657
From where?
I've always found these mannequins to look extremely stiff especially the wooden one
