this is my latest. give me your worst, niggers.
>>
nose looks kinda fucked
>>
>>2269485
eyes are fooked
hairline too (was this copied from a picture or a live model?)
flat chin
hair rendered too much kinda ugly near the bottom
If this is from an image (which is suspect it is, fuck me if im wrong) then be careful of how the lens distorts the subject, if you look back and forth between the corners of her jawbone and then to her cheekbones you can tell that theres some head warping.

eyebrow on right comes closer to bridge of nose laterally than the left one

imo
>>
>>2269485
5head, go to the beginner thread
>>
>>2269499
and yes im accounting for the angle of the head

>>
>>2269596

>>

under the left side of the mouth, looks flat. Aside from that it reads decently to me. Also the crease on the right of the mouth looks flat
>>
>>2269650
>decent
>literally better than 95% of the shit posted here
>100% better than all the shit tier anime
>>
>>2269653
Yeah it's a good piece. Do you get butt hurt every time someone doesn't shower someone with compliments? I mean it's a high school tier charcoal portrait with a strong understanding of light and shade, chill man.
>>
>>2269485
maybe her face is kind of fucked up and that's all
>>
>>2269485
The face has all the detail, why? Why would you surround a nice face with such garbage. You ruined a great drawing.
>>
Obviously drawn from someone's selfie.
Good job if she agreed to give you a bj or pay for it.
Otherwise, how about drawing something original?
>>
>>2269675
Post your work then fag
>>
>>2269596
It's called critique retard, do you want a hugbox full of trash artists who circlejerk over stick figures?
>>
>>2269485
stop drawing drawing wevery individual strand of hair work more on lights and shadows and simply suggest the strands. it makes it alot more 3 dimential where as yours looks flat. a few other things a wrong but other anons pointed out. other than that you're heading in the right direction m80 this is pretty good
>>
>>2269485

dat fivehead

nah but for real tho that's a nice drawing breh
fuck what these haters say
>>
Nice rendering skills but the entire thing is flat symbol drawing referenced from a photograph
I would bet my entire bank on runescape that you couldn't draw something of this finish from imagination

You should go read the sticky and learn how to draw from imagination, it'll take significantly longer than copying photographs but it's worth it in the wrong run when you want to draw porn of your favorite celebrity/animal
>>
>>2269485
The eyes are not aligned with the face, that stands out quite a bit, they are like 5 degrees off counter clockwise
>>
>>2275593
do you know what symbol drawing means even
>>
>>2269596
This is true.
>>
>>2269485

You have all your craft/mechanics fundamentals covered, so I would like it if you posted the photo you referenced so we could point out exaggerations and understatements that could have been to your benefit.

Some comments without seeing the photograph you used:

-value of the reflected light too harsh, makes the skin look metallic instead of organic
-atmospheric perspective on the hair is good
-exaggerating the size of the eyes is good too
-creases around the mouth and cheeks should be softer, don't compromise on accuracy, but you don't have to pronounce them so much. are you drawing a portrait of a woman or a dog?
-your transitions in value appear to have been made to conceal your marks in the most diffuse manner you could, except by doing so you have betrayed the direction that the form of the face inevitably does travel and does pull and does direct you lose that much more character that the face could have fad, just for the sake of looking clean. I will always prefer a drawing that is dirty and true to the form of its subjects than one that is clean and dishonest.
-next time you draw a portrait, spend as much time on the shoulder and next as you do the face. actually, start the portrait with the shoulder and next first, rather than just adding on lines and a flat value later. it's incredibly lazy and doesn't speak well to your principles.
-someone else mentioned that you shouldn't draw individual strands of hair. in principle they are right, because usually when people do this they mistake the trees for the forest. You didn't really do that too much here. you actually did a tasteful amount of summarization. maybe not enough, but still tasteful. the hair on the right side of her face could have been cast completely in shadow to make it consistent with the direction of the light on her face. even if it was that bright in the picture, you're allowed to use artistic licence to make the picture look "better"
>>
>>2276174

He doesn't. Ironically, what he is doing is to criticism, as symbol drawing is to art.
>>
>>2271881
(good) critique =/= "horrible"
(good) critique =/= "its bad"
