Lets play a game, draw what you see here and post a new shape. Try to make harder as it goes.

do you have a job? Maybe that would help onii-chan

is that you, guy who used to always draw squidgirl in porn thread?
My mom just asked me to come up with a male dakimakura design for her friend's retirement party.
Help me feel less ashamed.
You know, I saw commissions of pokemon fury yaoi rimming, and I still think yours is worse.

I'm not mad, that's pretty awesome if your mom want a custom dakimakura from you.

Do I still have enough neuroplasticity to git gud?
When I read literature or watch tutorials, I feel like the information really sticks well
>Been drawing with pencil most of my life, lately mostly charcoal based portraits
>Others have always told me I'm good at it, but I've kept it as a hobby so far
>>2529211
If you aren't working at 30, just quit. I had a friend irl who still wasn't in by 30 and I was better than he was when I was 22.
Understanding tutorials and being able to do work are not the same.

Art for me is still a hobby, I haven't been trying to make a career out of it, it's more for personal satisfaction. Career wise I fell for the STEM meme
>>2529233
How is STEM a meme?
Post finished masterpieces to even the smallest exercise you have done.
AVOID asking unrelated questions, There is a question thread for that.
Visit the usual "Art book Thread" to find your desired books. (Or look in the new sticky)
Do not forget to PLEASE RESIZE and crop your images before uploading them. 1kpx is fine.

There's a new sticky in town! You can see it at:

Nice drawing! The eye on the left looks way too big though
Post only the worst modern "art" you can find.

Everything is art goy! It's subjective.

Hey everyone, I have come up with a character to draw but I want her to look suspicious. In all my drawings she looks either angry or sad. Is there a way to draw an old lady that is suspicious or even paranoid?
Thanks in advance for helping me out :)
I also need a pose that would be instantly readable as suspicious but i dont really know how to go about it... All help is appreciated!

Google how to draw suspicious faces.
Simples.
What's the best place to find an artist for neo-80s style commissions?
Probably tumblr. Look around, most artists have comm pages. Also, there'd be anons on here more than willing to do it if you provided more details.
>>2533256
thanks, I really have no idea about those websites and deviantart is my little pony: the site.
>Also, there'd be anons on here more than willing to do it if you provided more details.
I'm making music with my bro. We need art for track covers and to spam facebook (with +- 8k views range)

You have a tumblr or something?

The composition is very nice
Is there any manga artists that also do fine art or are they all strictly interested in manga art?
I have more respect for proffesional artists than /ic/ weebs as they take the time to actually learn and develop style.
>>2532718
Haha /VP/ are you serious?
If anything weebs belong there.

Illustrate an emotion without using any figures. Things like fear, hope, anger, happiness, etc. Be creative, this is a great exercise for composition, emotion (obviously), style, and more.
Pic related is a quick 5 min work of fear in PS.

I'm shit at this, but whatever.
Top is happiness, then anger and finally hope.
I find it amazing how graffiti artists know such little about typography despite their whole art form being based around it.
Most could not tell you what a Serif is or the difference between a font and a typeface.
How is this even possible?
You don't need to have formal education or be exactly bright to spray rad colors with your gang on some stinky street wall.
Btw same applies to other types of art, lots of people don't even bother or know that there is something like "fundamentals" which doesn't hinder their artistic career.

Who is this semen demon?
Here, have a sketch of Yoko I did this weekend. I'm looking specifically for a way to get exposure.
To summarize, I hadn't drawn since '06 and decided to pick it up back around christmas last year. I haven't had much luck getting my name out there since. The only community that has shown any interest at all in my art is furry. Any advice? Tumblr and deviant art seem completely dead in the water. Only thing I can think of is doing fanart of iconic anime cuties in the meantime.

Needs more Neuroplasticity.

Oh my bad. I went through the sticky but only saw advice on art itself. Thanks
hey ic i've got a question that I'm hoping that someone out there can answer for me, I'm currently trying to understand what I'm doing wrong when it comes to controlling my lines and i've checked multiple tutorials and videos on the subject but i can't seem to get the concept so any tips for a lost artist? also help with straight lines and the such would also be appreciated

Use your arm/shoulder more and wrist less. Use less strokes and practice making each line or curve you draw as accurate as possible.

If you're going to copy something try to get as close to reality as possible so that you can start to ingrain some real knowledge of anatomy and form
