So does the normiePad Pro with Pencil compare favourably with the Cintiq Companion for drawing fun? Because I can buy a refurbished CC1 for roughly the same price
>>2316450
No it does not compare. Just buy the cintiq man
What program do you use? Why do you use those over the others? I personally use Sai over any others because of the stabilizer options. It's good for people like me who can't seem to keep their damn hand steady. I usually set it to 10 for lining and 2-5 for sketching.
>>2316252
Is MS5's stabilizer as good?
>>2316261
It's about the same thing, but it has a 1-100 bar that you just a enter a number in. It's probably for more experienced artists who would like a wider ranger of smooth lines. I don't use it as much as I use to so I don't know what has changed in the newer versions. I'd say it's a bit better when it comes to variety. Sai just grew on me over time.
>>2316252
SAI because it's lightweight and PS because it's industry standard and there are loads of tuts for it. I learned to paint with ctrl paint so I got used to it.
I have a debate going on. There are two sides - people who way that this is purple, and people who think it's pink.
Well what color do you think??
>>2315496
lavender mothafucka
/thread
oh yeah actually LAVENDER or PINK :D
>>2315499
I would say lavender. But who cares? It really doesn't matter what you call it, and your art won't be better or worse because you call it pink or purple. Colour is relative anyways, so it may look pink in one image, purple in another, and maybe even blue in another.
Im getting prescribed Adderall for my ADHD and was wondering how it affects drawing. What's your experience been drawing on Adderall?
>pic unrelated
>thinking anything is gonna change at all
I've been on Adderall on and off for something like 15 years. No idea what your ability to focus is now but at most its most dramatic you're going to go from "studies are so uninteresting I literally cannot do them" to "This is a little boring but I can do this"
>>2314990
That's all I need.
>>2314986
its great i stayed up all night friday night tweaking out and grinded through a bunch of loomis, I'm a beginner so this was really fun and the adderall motivated the fuck out of me. But eventually it turned in to a non stop fap session and I would edge for an hour then fap a huge load after fapping for like an hour. I did this like 9 times and ended up literally fapping for 9 hours straight. I was freaking out because I felt like I couldn't stop. It was crazy but still cool. oh well yolo drugs are tight drugs are tight.
s/ic/k fucks, would you say that it's better to:
> build up a loyal fanbase for commissions
or
> build up a loyal fanbase for patreon/donations
tbqh don't see anyone over 18 giving their money to a non-professional artist, but the young'uns only have their allowances, which makes a dollar donation feasible senpai.
>>2313660
Patreon donations is MUCh less work.
Both have payscales from poverty to rich dude.
You'll have to work at it eitherway
1 dollar donations add up.
>>2313660
My personal take on this, by going the commission route you can learn a little on how to deal with clients, bargain your prices, handle deadlines and such, they will help you later when doing more bigger projects, Patreon makes you look like a beggar, have some dignity, don't introduce yourself to everybody else like a desperate " help me pay my rent " guy.
>>2313681
It would take time to introduce your fans to your patreon; off the bat is tacky, but a year and a thousand subscribers later someone will throw some money at you.
does anyone have a guide to breast size, refereces etc.
cause drawing up characters and googling the sizes,i get results from washboards to bumpercars all when i look up just one size
>>2311500
google some boob tutorials, nsio did some good one I think.
not going to spoon feed you
>>2311511
my difficulty does not reside in the matter of drawing them but more as references for them.
was simply asking if theres a website that has models of various labelled bust sizes or anyone has an image reference chart or something of the sort.
cause im only drawing blanks when i search

This thread is meant for artists who might want to try to make stylized work in-between their studies. It is strongly recommended that you use this thread in conjunction with learning the elements and fundamentals of art. You can also discuss the visual elements of various professional artists as well if you keep it relatively articulate and civil.

I think you should show the bottom of the head a little. idk as it stands it looks like her head isn't properly connected to the neck.

The buildings need variation.
Not him but thanks for sharing that too.
Why cant i draw like him..
It looks simple, i mean, its anime shit after all, so why is it so difficult to capture this style.
>>2309798
Shitty animu still requires fundamentals.
>>2309798
>It looks simple, i mean, its anime shit after all, so why is it so difficult to capture this style.
Moron.
In order to draw GOOD LOOKING anime and manga art you have to be able to draw realistically first.
Those characters look so appealing because the artist knows exactly what details to ommit to make it look appealing as fuck.
Wow...
I can't believe this level of realism is humanly achievable.

meh
Damn
what age did you start drawing to get better at it?
what age is too late?
>>2305568
if you are legally posting at this site its already too late
Age is an illusion, age is abstract. The only thing that matters is how much time you put into it.
If you lived forever would you think that because you're 200 years old it's too late?
>>2305571
what is mental elasticity
Whats in your comfort zones /ic/ ?
>>2315072
Floating heads, usually dudes. Futa. Lineart, no rendering or color. That's the shit I doodle when I'm not feeling up to pushing myself.
>>2315072
anatomy, perspective, poses, i'm like the complete opposite of tumblrs, but I can't render for shit so all my stuff looks bad/incomplete.

>Beginner here, why do you guys suck loomis' dick? I don't understand why you guys worship him like he's a great artist or something. I mean he's good but there are better artist out there and you guys are just trying to make everyone draw like him instead of developing individual skills
>>2316123
sucking loomis' dick is just an /ic/ meme

Post your current drawing here and give constructive critique to others!
Please make sure your posted image is clear, downsized to around 1000 pixels wide, rotated to the correct orientation, and that any unused space is cropped.
If you want critique on a drawing from the previous thread, you can delete it there and repost in this one.

So is the era of counter formalism about to begin?
Post em now.
Rules:
-Do not rate or give critiques unless if the artist specifically requests it.
-If someone is RUDE tell them to not expect much from an hour's work.
-Posting WIP's, studies, "doodles", and random sketches are highly encouraged.
-The art must be fresh. Like you just drew it in the past hour.
These rules make me so fucking angry, it's unbelievable. why don't you fucks go to tumblr or deviantart with this shit.
