Any Pixar artbooks?
Has anyone read this?
What did you think of it?

It's good. It has lots of very good information and is more than enough for teaching yourself anatomy. But if you want to get good at figure drawing you need to supplement it with something like Vilppu or Bridgman and go to life drawing.
Im currently making a run and gun platforming game in a manner similiar to metal slug and I need someone to make the main menu art for me. Are there any artfags willing to feature their artwork in an indie game?
99.9% of indie games never get finished, and you get nothing for your (8+ hours) work.
You know it costs shekels to make artwork. Asking for free work is prohibited
>>2322065
Im not trying to make money off of it. Its going to be free to play. ABSOLUTELY FREE
All I want is a good (not too expensive) set of standard oil paint & brush recommendations. Thank you
I don't know about that, but I can teach you how to use google if you want
>>2321972
Just wanted human recommendations, preferably from beginners to oil
>>2321968
Buy Winton oils, and whatever kind of student/median priced brushes they have available. Really brushes aren't too important as long as you're not buying the bargain bin shit. If you're just starting out then you probably won't provide the adequate care that alot of the more expensive brushes need anyway, and will just end up needing to replacing them. Better to get the cheaper ones so you won't feel so bad when they become useless in a couple months. At least that's how I've always...

I'm Canadian and have no college/uni degree.
Is there any hope for me whatsoever with getting far in a studio career not in Canada? How?
>>2318119
theres little hope for people who DO have degrees. That's some good shit though.

Never played DOTA but my roommates literally just failed out of school for it. Block printing for some Christmas cards, what's a popular hero?
Also I don't know, but you can establish a fine art practice assuming you know your shit without a BFA.

Axe, Pudge, Jugger, Invoker and AM are pretty much the most iconic, especially the last 2
though I haven't played in years, so things might have changed
Post a random screen from your art-stash / visual library / whatever you call it.
Hello /ic/ I'm a fellow art student from Turkey. In a short I will be able to bring my painting to Sheffield, UK. Any suggestions to give my portfolio to galleries around UK. London, etc.
>TLDR; is there anywhere who could check my portfolio around UK.
>>2320561
I think /ic/ should check your portfolio first
>>2320562
they're mostly oil paintings, gotta take photos i guess.
What artists are you studying right now, and why?
Optionally: What artists do you think anyone would benefit from studying?
A bit of a cliche to start but it'll at least be uncontroversial, I'm trying to go through Rembrandt's paintings right now because I like what he does with color.
>What artists are you studying right now
Illastrat
>and why?
Because he's the best artist that I've ever seen
>What artists do you think anyone would benefit from studying?
BBC and Kyle

you're in ic, pick one.
I'm studying Sargent due to the state of being he manages to convey also dat brush economy.
Pic related. Doing it on acrylics because it's cheap and I have no space for oils :/
After years of doodling I'm thibking of tattooing. Any advice?
First of all, post your work.
>>2321048
I don't have any with me.
I work in a design studio so I can drew.
But I have never held a tattoo machine and I'm guessing its not as easy as drawing.
>>2321046
you need to be someone's apprentice, practice on pork legs in the latter stages.
Don't be a scratcher if you fail
ITT: we post influential feminist/POC artists.
Let's explore art created by marginalized members of our society that dismantles our heteronormative, patriarchal society! I've always come here for critiques but I feel like there's too much gross oversexualization of women and fetishization of People of Color. Let's show the internet that this board isn't problematic or toxic and is a safe space for all artists!

>Chinese tycoon Liu Yiqian, 52, bought Italian artist Amedeo Modigliani’s ‘Reclining Nude’ after a frantic bidding war at a Christie's auction in New York last week.
>But despite making a string of extravagant purchases for his two museums in Shanghai, Liu happily admits he knows nothing about art.
>‘Whenever, I saw others bidding, I just competed,’ he once said. ‘After I made the buy, I would ask them "why is this piece good?"'

>How does one piece of canvas cost more than a house and lot, a car, a lifetime worth of money
it's the frame doofus
i do art because its fun. i like drawing cartoons because its a good way to mellow. people spending millions on art are simply doing it just to do it. i dont understand what you are so confused about.
Everyone in that room has more money than they could use in their entire life. In that situation, anything put up for bid would be really expensive.
Also, take into account that there is a whole industry of experts that exist to tell these rich guys that they did a good job.
Do you ever draw for friends and family, /ic/?
Do you let them check your sketchbooks/portfolios?
What kind of reviews do you get from them?
Do you think they're lying?
>>2318914
Usually show my work to my grandparents for criticism because they can always see something wrong in it.
>>2318914
My sister says everything I do either "sucks" or "is not that good". Lol, I'm a professional illustrator biiitch! But, you know, teenagers.
My dad will try to give honest critique, but every time he points out an issue, he backtracks, saying, 'but i don't know about art, etc'.
>>2318914
my dad tells me my art is shit and to stop wasting my time painting
