I am new in this world of the drawing.
Hi! I'm looking for a drawing that presents frog sitting on a wild strawberry (ye, this smaller, wild strawberry, not the big strawberry :) .I don't have many "requirements". The picture should be cute (but not too cute), realistic (but not hyperrealistic) and the frog should be green, and the wild strawberry should be horizontally-positionned, not "standing". Ye I have a precisive vision, but it's only because I love frogs and strawberries :) . Please, any artist can help?
I'm curious /ic/,
What sort of music do you listen to when you draw? Or do you just draw in silence?
Hello, I have drawn this and now I'm stuck on how to improve. Any ideas? Want to keep it 'pure' so to speak. Terrible picture I know and need to face line around mouth
Does anyone have a download link to download some of the gumroad tutorials or any other training videos ? So far somewhere in this post somebody uploaded a torrent link to Schoolism or CG workshop videos. Please do share if you found any interesting training videos.
Please berate me for being stupid, I deserve it, but can anyone link me to a download or torrent of this? I can't find it anywhere; none of the links that exist seem to work.
Thanks, /ic/, this is a great resource and its nice to get out of the hugbox that is real life and other nonanonymous forums.
it´s literally the first thing on google
find it here on this folder, the drawing manual is easy to find, what I can´t find are the mythical videos.
The 50 Shades of Grey cover and the album cover for 'Blurryface' belong to their respective owners.
^Quote this and write 'kek' for internet points^
Tell me what you think of the cover and how it can be better, feel free to make your own versions of it and post them, I could use some ideas and tips.
it looks good?
It is art?
Hi ic/ , I'm making a 12 hour travel by bus tomorrow, I'd like to know if any of you can recommend me any kind of art lectures or videos I can watch while traveling to spend time, any advice or recommendation is appreciated.
Please can u tell me what isnt right in this video? I tried so hard and people say it's not good enough
I checked the clock and this isn't actuallly time lapse, so that's what they are pointing out.
Also people like to see interesting and important places in these kinds of vids. I've never heard of this place.
Im not a pro, but in my opinion it needs some post processing. Somehow the resolution also looks shitty sometimes. Also its not very interesting, maybe if you live there but not for someone else.
The dubstep and flashing text was annoying enough for me to almost turn it off at the start so I'm probably not the right one to ask.
But if you want to do time lapse then at least show some interesting change over time or behavior from people.
Does anyone know which brushes and app this guy uses? I really liked his style but couldn't replicate it since I've always been drawing on sketchbook where it's smoothish. Couldn't even replicate it on painter. Also a lot of photoshop brushes I found online act like the Window crash screen Window if I apply strokes. Am I just supposed to paint them?
Also what apps and brushes do you use thread.
Also posting more of David Aguado
Not much brushes or stuff I like it because theirs not much detail
Slim and clean or curvy and volumy
This is why nobody likes weebs or why weebs constantly produce the most medicore kitsch shit imaginable.
Theyre so one-dimensional and fanatical about this stuff they refuse to think for a moment. They rather be prentenious then geniunely learn. They are so hard-wired and starving for attention that drawing weeb shit has become a formality.
This is a thread where AD briefs will be posted for you to create and crit each others card mockups in purpose of creating portfolio worthy pieces or training to be on a future Magic the Gathering artist.
For those who want to give it a shot, here's the assignment: (A fairly ok brief I found for starters)
Color: White Creature
Location: Plains clearing near an ancient village or something of that sort
Action: A weathered but virile middle-aged battle-cleric sits, wearing the remains of his tattered studded leather armor, cross-legged in front of a...

Sweet, I've been waiting all day for this. I've never played MtG though so what does it mean for the creature to be "white"? Or does that even affect anything?
Also can we just universally agree to not reply to posts like that first one, I'd really rather see one of these threads stay focused on the task for once.
what are the best revelations or milestones you hit relating to art?
something that came to me today (which might be obvious to most people) was that the more you draw something you avoided because you are bad at it, the more fun it gets. (inb4 and water is wet)
i had been almost completely avoiding drawing figures, and only focusing on faces until around august. since then i've been progressively working on figures more and more until i'm now getting inspired by other artists figures and proportions.
it's really made me realise how much staying...

It was really surprising to me how a lot of the workings of color could be simplified to some broad rules, like how saturation changes with value, etc
Also as a personal one, for soem reason I started out using a ridiculously small (digital) canvas and it was a huge revelation to figure out I could make things look a lot better with a better size
My biggest milestone was getting off /ic/ and actually doing art. Second biggest thing though was realizing that no matter how much I think I know how to do something, if I can't do it from imagination then I don't really understand it.
