Hi /ic/
Anyone here uses Win10? Because I have a problem with SAI, the stabilizer can't seem to work.
>pic unrelated
>>2332566
But anon, you wont use the stabilizer anyways, unless you're a bad artist, and if that is the case, you shouldn't use the stabilizer, and learn to draw without it.
>>2332568
I just want smooth lines and pen pressure to work in Win10. I didn't even used the stabilizer before.

Nevermind, I fixed it. Thanks for your shitpost.
Author of GWTB is currently drawing a new strip, live, you'll find him on Twitch by the name morriperkele
If you are fan or just interested, be sure to stop by and maybe give him a few words of encouragement, maybe that way he will draw more often.
Every so often I remember this guy exists... then I immediately forget. I liked his stuff way back when but haven't bothered to check in since

the first monday of the new year is as good as the first day of the new year, right?
i know i said i'd start taking this seriously as my new years resolution but it was a friday. it makes more sense to get a fresh start on a monday.
i'll go to bed early, wake up, exercise and then draw all day. 2016 is going to be my year. let's do it guys
Just don't overdo it.
Seriously. If you set your goal something retarded like "draw 8 hours a day after my 3 hour run" you're going to quit in days. Make your resolution achievable without dramatic changes to your lifestyle, that's how you'll form a habit you can keep at and build upon.
Drawing an hour a day for a year will serve you far better than drawing eight hours a day for a week.

Oh sorry. Meant if there were any sources showing people like Vilppu and what not figure draw? New Master's Academy had an entire section on youtube, but now it's currently private.

Blog?
Fuck this forced meme
Do normies actually think this is good? Not just good, but GREAT? Some girl posted this on a facebook group and asked for honest opinions if it was good enough to give away as a gift, and added that she was a beginner.
I told her that I didn't understand why you would give away a drawing if you're just a beginner, but everyone one else was RAVING over how good it was. "looks amazing!" "wow, that's great!! I'd love that as a gift!!" both men and women. Predicatbly one white knight popped up and said I was just jealous and that she...

the problem isn't with the drawing op, it's with you
someone getting compliments and positive reaction doesn't take away from you. it shouldn't affect you so deeply. why do you care what other people do focus on yourself. this sort of negative behaviour will only be detrimental in life
>>2333703
Never said it takes anything away from me. I'm happy for other people getting praise if they deserve it. Fuck off with your pseudo pop psychology bullshit and answer the question instead. Do these people actually think this is good or are they just engaging in tribal hugbox behavior?

in the case of females apply the following formula:
60% of her likes are based on her looks
20% of her likes are based on friends/social support
so you can multiply her likes by 0.2 and you have a normalized value.
female privilege.
Anyone here know where I can find PDFs of these Pose books? Specifically volume 5 with the wonderful Julia.
Also have any of you use these kinds of books before? Obviously drawing from life is better, but some days you can't simply go hunt down naked people.

Hey thanks for the upload, these look helpful! Gonna definitely try some of these.
Do you think there are any other sources for the Super Pose Books?

You're the best, thanks.
I've been kind of struggling/toiling with myself about what I consider art.
I really do love art, especially beautiful realistic pieces, however when I try do draw or do anything art related I just scribble and try to put my emotions on the paper whether it be doodles or words or whatever. Does this make me an artist though? I wish it did but I don't think it does. Nothing I produce remotely looks good, so idk. I'm gonna do my best to improve
What is art in your opion? What makes someone an artist? Is it absolutely subjective?

I think most things are art, but on varying levels. We often draw/paint nature and its beauty is the art, right? well I like to look at everything as art in itself, but when the factor of humans come into play, I tend to see art in a different light.
Criteria for art(very simple):
1. Does it look good?
thats it!
after that, I take into play what i know about technique and see if i it fits.
does it have proper proportion, is the lighting good, do the colors look right etc...
so, i guess its very subjective!

i consider art to be anything manmade, does not mean i like everything that is made by man
Art is a way to express thought, feelings, and depict certatin things. It's something that people can connect to, being that they have experienced those feelings, thought similarly, or seen similar events. It's relativity between man and life, how one perceives the earth on a blank canvas.
Sorry for being poetic, I just really have a passion for art, I guess.
Hello! I'm looking to get better at doing storyboards and planning comics panels, is there any books or anything -like certains artist's works, movies, comics, manga, etc. to use as a reference- to help? Thanks in advance!
Gekko not related.

Doing something with every thing you've got left in your life that nobody wants anyway.
One day someone will care, will look up close , notice how it changes as they peer around it, see the shapes and colours and enjoy it.
Regarding your posts dis-liking it, obviously it wasn't made for you.

for anyone here who managed to git gud, am I wasting my time with this?
I think it's pretty good! At the bottom of every lesson is a link where students can contribute their homework so you can go there and see for yourself what they've drawn.
>>2326795
yep, went through the lessons a while ago and they're pretty solid. you'll get a lot out of it if you're a beginner (providing you do the homework of course)
>>2326795
I just checked the site and its very VERY basic stuff. If you have no fundamentals whatsoever, it might be ok (somewhat). Overall, its pretty bad for anyone who wants to learn and be a professional.
