>implying unusual media makes trash tier art look good
I'm really intimidated by color mixing and shading. Expecially on weathered metal.
Any sort of advice on how to approach this would be appreciated.

Not only is that shootaboy in dire need of more Dakka, you best be consulting Warboss Loomaugh before you ever paint anyfing again! WAAAGH!

This thread is meant for artists who might want to try to make stylized work in-between their studies. It is strongly recommended that you use this thread in conjunction with learning the elements and fundamentals of art. You can also discuss the visual elements of various professional artists as well if you keep it relatively articulate and civil.

How does one even develop/discover such a specific fetish? What makes it attractive to you?
Also to keep it art related, the torso looks really mushy and weird. I think you are overstating the value range there.
Post a draw in honnor of David Bowie (:
Ugh not here too

kill yourself
It's a nice idea but you can't make people draw it if they don't want to and I don't think many people are interested so keep it to yourself. ok? (-: (-; (: /:
Post gifs you have drawn recently

go to the animation thread
Is it possible to git gud while having a full time job, /ic/? I've been NEET for years, but I have to start working in a month.
For somebody that wasted years of NEETdom and is only just now getting into it, probably because he thinks it will be easy money? Probably not, fambo
In all seriousness though, yes, if you put your mind to it and if you're truly passionate about it. If you're a typical nihilist NEET though it's going to be an uphill battle just to cultivate that much.

Maybe, if you have literally no life outside work and art. And I mean, like NO life. Maybe one hour a day at most of friends/games/tv/whatever.
So other than that, probably not, or at least it will take you a very long time.
What're some active sites where you can draw with people?
>>2348541
>Online: Open canvas sessions
Otherwise
>Go to pretty much any location and start sketching with them
>Go to art classes together (if any)
>Sit inside while doodling from imagination
I want to team up with an artist to create a comic series. Is this the right place to find someone for that?
>ill do it but pay me
I dont have very much money.
But if you're okay with taking something from the royalties that would be fine.
>what will you do?
Character designs, stotyboards, and skript.
>Length
I hope to continue it for a least five years.
Pic marginally related. Its a character design I made for fun.

Can we get a stream of consciousness thread?
Anyone else just open paint and draw? I'd like to get better and form a cohesive style.
I rarely do stuff by hand. Usually only draw sleep deprived and depressed. It's an occasional outlet to dump derangement of thought or something to that effect. Wondering if anyone else does something like this where the point isn't beauty
Whats the source of those?
Help

Stop shilling here, asshole.
~$200,000 art education?
What a joke.
Isn't that the place Noah Bradley dropped out of to attend a cheaper community college-style school and had to work his ass off to pay back? lol no
What book would you recommand to learn the volume? I really have a hard time to simplify form (you know when you start off and do a sphere for the head like loomis) I just can't get my head around it for some reason.. After years of frustrating attempts to draw anatomy, I'm thinking to just get Hogarth Dynamic Figure Drawing, draw non stop for a few months until I understand it and can draw it from imagination .. then apply a layer of realism after. The only problem is that I can see a lot of major flaws in Hogarth drawings, BUT he is the only one that seem to teach...

How is your manual dexterity? that is an important factor in all of this. Maybe it's that you understand it you just can't bring your hand to move correctly.

Thus saith Lord Vilppu: "Tools, not rules".
I'm having a tough time with this too, I finally decided that you have to come up with your own breakdown. I've been using Hogarth as well as an example, but I think the best thing to do is to get reference, and break it down into (your own) simple forms.
>>2348150
No in fact its the total opposite.. i cant understand forms in 3d, i cant understand volume.. Thats why i can copy a picture perfectly and it looks like a photo but i cant draw from imagination, there are always so many flaws related to volume/structure
