What do you d/ic/ks think of Jean-Michel Basquiat?
>>2344813
absolutely nothing.
pretty nice on shirts
His work is really great, he had a huge impact on art and pop culture over the handful of years that he was active for. Although he painted in alongside modernists his art is often auctioned now as contemporary, it's crazy how far ahead he was.
Does online jobs for artists exist? like drawing some illustrations, comics for someone and send it with interwebz and they pay you back. it would be nice to make side money on this kind of work.
Are you literally twelve years old?
>>2351996
>interwebz
either that or autistic and stuck in 2005
also yes OP now go fuck off and get better or just start looking for jobs online with your portfolio. If you even have one, which I doubt.
>>2351995
Do you have a body of work to show potential prospects? No? Then fuck off?
How much do you value having friends who share your hobby/line of work?
A few weeks ago I met a fellow artist and we started doing the last artist standing challenge together. Since then we draw everyday atleast an hour while in a call. I've actually talked more with him than with my non artist friends in two years. Since I met him I feel like having someone with the same interest could be better since it's very motivating to continue studying.

i have a friend who draws every day but only 10 mins a day (i'm doing 6-8hr days). i'm hoping he sometime soon gets serious so i have someone to work with on getting gud. but i don't want to force anything on him since he seems to really enjoy drawing, being blissfully unaware of how bad he really is :/
Massive Black - Whit Brachna - Snow mountain
Already tried in cgpeers
This is such a good video man. I wonder what whit is doing now, he like deleted his website and even then it was all really nice abstract paintings. I wonder what he does for money. Can this be a whit appreciation thread?
>>2351970
Whit is rich as fuck, m8. He owned at least two houses last time I checked. He probably only does art for his own sake nowadays.
>>2351949
I do have it. Where does one upload something like this to be anonymous and shit?
I do these drawings at night during my night shift. (Overnight reception. woo.)
I kind of just give them away, because they seem to make people smile. I did this one this week, and I just kind of really like how it turned out so yep. Here is a thing. If you would like to see more things, I have more things.
It's permanent black marker and highlighters.
ALSO. where do you go to get large scale scans of art? Some of mine are poster board size, and I would love to be able to get prints.
Just gonna say you doing that stuff for a good reason. Keep it up
>>2351922
>where do you go to get large scale scans of art?
you photograph it you dingus
>>2351922
would've been really cool if you hadn't thrown in the pandering meme poptart cat
Some OC.
Me paints very well.
DIscuss the image.
Very thanks

FUCKING OTHER EYE....
WHY I CAN'T DRAW 2 MATCHING EYES?!?!?
fuck my life
sorry, had to let it out
>>2351736
What the fuck is wrong with you?
There's the beginner post, there's a place where everybody will tell you to read loomis.
mods please delete.
I might be wrong. But the placement of the left eye is so very wrong.
Lets have a ipad pro thread, I want to see how far we can push this thing or tablets in general i just got one and breaking it in.
Do you guys prefer having grey backgrounds too? Or colour instead of white?
You know you can screen cap your iPad if you press the home + power button simultaneously ... instead of posting a photo of the screen...
Also, zoom out before you screen cap and crop it before you post or it will be 2732x2048
What app are you using to draw?
What am I doing wrong that I can fix. I study heads and form and I've been going through loomis and Gerard. Drawing heads from life are always measured incorrectly and warped. I lose confidence and jump. Back to Loomis. Can't seem to fix this. Thoughts?
>>2351459
You already know the answer.
How long did these take you? They seem very rushed. Take your time and measure accurately.
Also, please post in the beginner thread next time instead of making your own thread.
Everything I read and hear all say that drawing from life is the single most important thing for an artist
I have the problem though that I dont have any models for me.
I have looked for any figure or life drawing sessions near where I am and there are none, I dont have anyone who will model for me, and I definitely cant pay for a stranger to model.
I can of course sketch people in public , but you can rarely get a long pose or drawing from anyone, and I feel like a creep doing that anyway.
So any solutions? I have used some resources like photo...

you could ask friends or family, if you got any.
>>2351400
For now, try the new masters academy on YouTube. I know you want to draw models models from life but if you have nothing you are sol.
take a long bus or metro trip and sketch people who are trapped in a single position
if you're familiar with gesture drawing then you can churn out lots of quick sketches
How do people draw backgrounds like pic related? Is it true they take a photo of random place somwhere in Japan and just draw over it?

>>2350439
That is what I was looking for, thanks anon
>>2350439
That's good to know, but is there any video out there that shows the background creation full process? I always only stuffs for characters. What kind of textures and brushes do they use?
Hello.
Yesterday i decided i want to transition from digital drawing to traditional. As i have started learning straight in digital I have developed really good muscle memory when using a tablet. Now, when im drawing on paper its really hard to keep proportions or draw anything that doesnt look like shit. Please help me with advice or something . I also struggle without undo and transform tool.
Picrel is me on digital, traditional is like 2 months drawing tier shit.
this sure is a good way to start a thread - by posting furshit porn
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3971zJW9VHI
it's a learning process.
just like when jumping for traditional to digital, you're gonna be shit tier for awhile.
best just to grind a lot and get used to the new setup.
there's no easy way really.
pic looks above beginner tier so it's not that bad.
Weird request. Looking to find someone willing to do sketches of my wife in everyday situations (cooking, at wedding, etc.) but drawn with a breast hanging out or naked. I know, weird. But it gets me hot. I would send PayPal, trade stuff, whatever. Looking for an ongoing thing. BTW, my wife and I are very happy and this is just something that turns me on. My email is [email protected].
I have many, many high resolution photos to send for reference.
Why don't you draw it?
You are at the wrong place to make /r/equests.
>>2347211
why don't you just tell your wife to do that?

Post your current drawing here and give constructive critique to others!
Please make sure your posted image is clear, downsized to around 1000 pixels wide, rotated to the correct orientation, and that any unused space is cropped.
If you want critique on a drawing from the previous thread, you can delete it there and repost in this one.

OP you painted that?
Post em now.
Rules:
-Commenting is OK but do not expect much from an hour's work.
-Posting WIP's, studies, "doodles", and random sketches are highly encouraged.
-The art must be fresh. Like you just drew it in the past hour.
-Go fast
Getting there... slowly.
Oh please sir, tell me more about the land of Gud. Is it true that Bouguereau girls sharpen your pencils with their feet and groves of graphite trees bear only the ripest Loomis heads?
Mouse/ms paint at work.
>>2343199
Damn it, I was just about to make one. I guess that Go Fast line is going to be a permanent addition.
