uhh I'm new to this board and don't have any art friends. So any input would be cool. (also the image was too big so I had to scale it down)
also here's a link for large res:

hey looks cool, just post in the "Draw Thread" next time. Thats where all drawing are getting posted.
For the piece: I personally really don't enjoy the "dotted shading" and the legs of the character but thats just personal Preference. Composition is pretty cool though.
>>2586646
yeah, sorry about that. (I swear I looked at the rules at least twice)
and thanks! The dotting thing weirdly came to me a couple months ago and now I enjoy it a lot.

Very nice. If anything, you might want to reconsider the frame/cropping IF you have cropped. Otherwise, think about the positioning of the three pillars and the foreground figure. As it is now, the entire weight of the scene lacks a direction downwards. I think you'd get something from reading about photographical elements and simple composition/framing/cropping "rules".
Do you have a tumblr where I can follow you?

Awhile back a guy named C++ helped me with trying to replicate the rendering style in pic and created a step by step. did anyone save it because I don't have the file anymore but I need it as it was a massive help
Looks like Chun-Li pissed on the floor.
>>2588221
Im not going to do it agein
And just do master study
>>2588547
I didn't want you to do it again I just wanted to know if you or anyone saved the file and were willing to share it
I was wondering if anyone here knew what these original paintings were called. All I remember is that it's about a little girl of royalty trying on dresses with a bunch of nobles around her, and a guy in the corner walking up a staircase to the light or something.
There are also 'tributes' done of it by other artists, like Dali and many other people.
Does anyone know what I'm talking about?
>>2588353
when you have an image like this, use reverse image search on google, if it doesn't immediately give you a name and/or artist, scroll down to visually similar and click on any of them that are of the same painting
if that doesn't immediately give you a name and/or an artist then go to the page it's hosted on and find wherever it is and see if the info is embedded in text somewhere around it
It's not that picture, but I dont have any of the paintings or images.

Are there any artists who use Medieval styles to depict modern scenes?
Always cross-posting with your trip on. Why do people say you're a trap?

What sai brush settings could produce nupples like this
>>2587431
the nupples brush obviously
i got it from doxy
nipples tend to look better when you start with the darker tone of the nipple blocked in way over the size of the areola an then go about painting the regular skin tone back over it till you get the size/shape you want
Essentially this one or something close to it.
The square setting is one of my own design, however. Which is why the quality is at 4, it's also a good idea to use stablizers with any boxish tip to create a smooth path rather than a choppy one at ever turn.

Hey /ic/. I'm trying to help my father find a painting he has seen somewhere a while back and my 3 brothers and i don't have strong enough Google-fu apparantly.
The painting we are trying to find is
>a man walking up to his home and his wife is there at the front door and the house is drawn to appear as if it is swallowing him in a menacing way.
All help is appreciated.

So, I've considered giving up on trying to learn how to draw, I may need to calm down since I've been trough sad times recently, and have been a lot more impatient and intolerant at my mistakes.
Is there anyhing I should take a look at first?
>>2587561
Your basics.
And the themes and style you are drawing.
If you get bored of it you have to re-invent yourself.
Then you will be motivated again. You need to challange yourself.
>>2587561
This is more of a /his/ issue, but I know that feeling. Even if I just stared drawing I have felt that on other activities.
Do what >>2587773 says, but also start drawing for yourself, that kind of useless self-criticism is only useful as an excuse for a Japanese to kill himself. /ic/ is full of dougebags with sad lives with superiority complexes, do not let your ideal internal artist become /ic/ in flesh and blood against you.
>>2587561
Been there, friend. I don't know you but if this is how you truly feel then it indicates you're really an artist at heart, so don't give up. A hack wouldn't get depressed, they'd just move on to some other fad. Transmute your frustration into motivation, brother. It's the inner alchemy of all artists.
